I shot out of bed to the sound of my alarm at 6:00 a.m. I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth, combed my hair and left it down, and put on a very light application of makeup just to make sure I would look a little better. And finally...my outfit: a casual blue mini dress, jean jacket, and of course, my white converse. I grabbed my bag with all my supplies, probably half of which I won't even need, and headed down the stairs. "Wow! Someone's up early!" My mom said. "Well I guess it's a big day!" I replied. "And you look very nice but, you wear those shoes all the time." Mom added. "Yeah I know." I said. I sat down and began to get things ready for breakfast since I was about 10 minutes ahead of my regular schedule. A.C. finally came downstairs while I had just started to eat. "What are you wearing?" I exclaimed. "What? Can't I wear puffy pants?" A.C. shot back. "Well I guess you can, you might look a little ridiculous though." I laughed. "A.C. honey, hurry up and eat the bus will be here soon!" My mom yelled. "Okay, okay." He said. I got up and grabbed my bag once again, hugged my mom goodbye and headed out the door to the bus stop. "Hey Lis!! You look GREAT!" I yelled to Lisa who was waiting for the bus. "Oh my lord! So do you I love that dress!" Lisa said. "Really? Thanks girl." I replied. "Where's your brother?" She asked. Right when Lisa said that A.C. came running out of our house and the bus pulled up. "Typical." I said while Lisa scoffed. We got onto the bus, I sat with Lisa and A.C. sat with one of his friends on the wrestling team. Lisa and I chatted about the upcoming year, teachers, classes, and what we thought we would see once we got to school. The bus came to a halt that definitely caught me off guard. "We're here already?" Lisa asked no one in particular. "I can't believe it." I said. Lis and I walked down the aisle, thanked the bus driver and stepped off the bus. "Look out Bayside, here we come!" Lisa said. I laughed and pulled her along to entrance. We stepped into the school, which wasn't completely new because we had come for a tour in the beginning of the month. We received our schedules from the office and headed to our home room (yes Lis and I are in the same homeroom and have been ever since 6th grade!). "C107, where's that?" I asked. "Let's ask someone." Lisa said. We finally came upon a girl who looked to be at least a junior. "Excuse us, but do you know where C107 is?" I asked. "Oh, sure." She said and showed us to the room. "Thanks!" I said. "Sure, I'm Mary I'm in 11th grade here." She said. "I'm Hannah and this is my friend Lisa." I replied. "See you around!" Lisa and I sat next to each other in the beginning but, once everyone else arrived the teacher put us into alphabetical order. A minuted before the bell is about to ring according to my schedule, guess who walks in? That's right A.C. "Nice of you to finally join us Slater!" Lisa teases. "Ha-ha." A.C. replies. Our teacher seats A.C. right behind me obviously, and starts to take attendance. I soon learned that our teacher's name was Mr. Jenkins, when he was done taking attendance I glanced around. "Oh no, where's Jessie?!" I thought. "Guys, where's Jessie?" I asked Lisa and A.C. "Oh Jesus." A.C. said. Just then Jessie ran into the classroom. Everyone turned their heads towards her. "I'm so sorry sir! I got caught up in the car line and-" Jessie started to say to Mr. Jenkins. "Dot worry about it! What's your name?" Mr. Jenkins asked. "Jessie Spano." Jessie said while taking a seat a row away from me. "Hey Hannah." Jessie whispered. "What is it?" I whispered. "I ran into Zack on my way here. He said that 'he can't wait to see you in that dress.' " Jessie whispered back. Really? I thought to myself.
