I was confused on what I was staring at, it looked like the stars up in the sky but all clumped together in a swirl in a box. It was glowing and I could hear whispers coming from it. I was a bit afraid of it, because I'd never seen this before. I doubt anyone has seen this before, I wonder what price this would fetch at the market, Two hundred thousand, Five hundred thousand. This looked like it was worth all of the gold coins in the region. I had just found our way out. I picked it up and took it with me to my horse and put it into the satchel. I mounted my horse and started heading towards town, when I suddenly heard a voice.
"I wouldn't sell me if I were you".
I had no idea where this voice was coming from, maybe it was just in my head, I usually talk to myself when I'm alone.
"I know you can hear me, Elizabeth".
That's when I stopped my horse and got off. I pulled my daggers out and shouted
"Show yourself"! I was ready for anything that could come at me. Then I saw a mysterious figure in the mist. It looked like a prince of some sort. I took my fighting stance and prepared for a fight, even Lilac was ready to go. The figure started walking towards me. I threw one of my daggers at it and it went right through the figure and into the tree. A sorcerer, this close to town, he must have some serious skills. I felt my hand quivering as I held the dagger. If I die, what will Kat think? Bella would think it's all her fault! I don't really care if Bella has to live with that, but Kat would go insane, we're all she has left...after the fire.
"You mortals are rather foolish at times", said the figure. He started walking towards me. What was I gonna do? He practically ate my dagger for breakfast. I slowly backed towards the box, maybe there was something in there that could help me. I scuffled through my bag until I found it. I pulled out the box and opened it, but nothing happened. "Come on you stupid thing work"! I was starting to freak out. All I could think of was I have to get away. Without a second thought, I hopped onto my horse and we rid into town as fast as she could go.
As soon as I arrived at the gates, I saw Bella showing a flyer to strangers, perhaps she was looking for Amelio without us. I tied up my horse next to hers and ran down the hill to tell her the good news. "Thank you so much and let me know immediately if you are to find her", said Bella. I tapped her shoulder and she turned around quicker than a whisp mother. I gave her a light smile and she responded with a slap across the face. I fell towards the ground and I felt the tears rushing into my eyes. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN"! Said Bella. She was furious and her eyes were almost as red as Enigma's were. I felt my arms shaking as I stood on my hands and knees. I dashed up the hill and quickly got on my horse. I unleashed it and we rode off. Bella tried to catch me, but I had the advantage of a head start. That and the fact that she wasn't riding Enigma
I arrived back in the forest at the spot that I saw the sorcerer at, there wasn't as much fog as last time. "Sorcerer"! I shouted. No one appeared. I could hear the sound of a horse's hooves hitting the ground, I knew Bella was nearing me. I told Lilac to go home and I hid in a tiny crevice underneath the rock I was standing on. I had the box in my hands and it was a tight fit. I could hear someone dismounting their horse. I held my breath carefully, trying not to make any sound, when I felt it approach me. I closed my eyes and turned and my head. "How is Bella gonna find you if you're in a tiny crevice like this"? Said Kathryn she giggled and then pulled me out. I wondered how she found me, I was in a tiny spot and no one could've ever noticed me. "Hey Kat, how on Versius did you fi-"? I was interrupted by her hand covering my mouth. "Your horse was heading my direction when I came searching for you",said Kat, "Why is your left cheek as red as a snowberry"? I didn't want to answer her knowing that she'd be on Bella side. "I fell, when I was trying to hide from someone".
