Beside You

Chapter 2

A/N "So I didn't get over 10 reads but someone asked me to update! :)"

*MICHAEL'S POV*

"Go to school" that's all I hear my mom yell to me everyday. Why should I have to go?

I'm in a band and as far as I know we don't need a high school degree to succeed.

Since I spent the last 10 minutes fighting with my mom about school now I'm going to be late.

As I lazily walked my way to school when I finally made it to my class the teacher smiled evilly at me.

As usual luke had about 300 girls swarmed around him. Ever since they found out that he could sing they were all suddenly interested.

The teacher spoke up telling me I had to take the new student to her classes. But I didn't mind. She was pretty cute.

She had long black hair with green eyes. She also looked like she'd never been to Australia before.

I made small talk with her to get to know her better and she seemed really sweet.

As the bell rang I took her books before she could protest and guided her to her next class.

I heard Luke's faint voice yelling after me so I slowed down. He must think the new girls pretty hot because he never walks with me to 2nd period.

As Charlie turned around her eyes immediately got wide. I laughed slightly while luke smirked at her.

She also must think Luke's a hunk.

As luke told her his name she replied back fumbling her words.

Then luke looked at me and said "She'll have to meet Calum and Ashton sometime."

I nodded saying "Charlie you wanna hang out with us after school?" She nodded her head shyly and with that we were off to 2nd period.

*LUKE'S POV*

She was beautiful,shy,beautiful,and she didn't even know about our band. Most girls in our school fall all over me because I'm in a band. But she didn't even know.

I caught her staring at me this morning but she looked away once she noticed all the girls.

I knew she probably thought I was out of her reach so I had to make sure that I let her know I wanted her. So when her and Michael left class I ran after them trying to make small talk with Charlie.

After they left the whole school day all I could think of was her. She was perfect in every way possible. I just wanted to hug her and call her mine. And I didn't even know her.

As the last bell sounded I ran to Calum's locker and immediately told him what was going on. He laughed and said "Yea like the last girl you dated. You felt the same way and dated her for a week. Right after you guys had sex you broke up." My eyes darkened and I told him this was different.

He just raised an eyebrow at me and then laughed saying "whatever you say Mr.Hemmings"

Michael and Charlie were approaching us and I felt myself get nervous. I'm always so confident around girls but she was different. Calum introduced himself and then we were off to band practice.

*CHARLIE'S POV*

School was okay. It was like any other school....BORING. As the last bell ended I couldn't wait to see my only friends. I started school late so we have a week off for break. So I guess I have some time to get closer with these guys.

As we approached luke and another boy luke smiled and the other boy spoke up "Hi I'm calum!" I smiled at him telling him my name.

Then luke spoke up saying "Come on we have to go meet ashton! We're gonna be late for practice."

What was practice? Like sports? I tapped michael as we made our way to Ashton's house. I asked him "What practice?" He gave me a grin and said "You'll see" I gave him a worried look and he just laughed.

As we made it to a garage a boy came running out and they all yelled "ASHTON!" So I'm guessing that's ashton I said aloud and they all laughed.

I told him my name was Charlie and he said "Well it's nice to me you Charlie! Are you new?" I told him all about the move and he just nodded his head along with my words.

I sat down on the floor as they got their instruments. "Oh!" I mentally said. Their in a band!

Luke took the microphone and started to sing into it. He sang "She so cool she rewrites the rules she Aint got the time for you she's a teenage queen, she hit me baby one more time like Brittany from the 99's" they were actually really good!

I clapped as they finished and they bowed. I told them how amazing they were and how they should be signed by now.

They all agreed and michael spoke up saying "Tell me about it!"

By the time practice was over it was almost 11. I texted my dad telling him I was still out. I immediately got a text back saying "Good! I'm glad you made new friends! Just let me know when your coming home."

Ashton spoke up saying "Lets watch a movie!" We all agreed and let ashton put in whatever movie he wanted. I really wasn't even sure what the movie was but I was so tired I didn't even make it past the title.

I looked to my left and saw Luke's shoulder. It looked really comfortable so without even thinking I set my head on it, cuddled into him, and fell asleep.
