I walked down the hall and into the command center, where we plan all of our raids and scouting missions. I looked at Curtis, who had his face in a map as usual. “Curtis!” I yelled, which made him jump right of his seat. “Darn it man, I told you not to sneak up on me!” he said, his skin was as pale as a ghost. “Sorry” I said chuckling “not my fault you scare so easily.” I bent over and picked up the map he had dropped. “Is it true?” Curtis asked “I mean about the zombie in the storage room?” “Yea, it happened. It was to close for comfort if you ask me.” “I bet. Anyway, I was looking at that map when you walked in, and discovered that we missed a building when we were doing the raid.” I’m not surprised” I huffed “we were to busy watching our tails with all those zombies chasing us.”

“Yea’ he said “I’m just worried that if we go back out there, that we might loss another guy.” “It’ll be fine, we just have to watch ourselves out there that’s all.” “Yea you may be right.” Sighing, he looked at the map and pointed to the building we missed. “That’s the one, the old mattress factory.” Looking closely I asked “Do we have any sort of layout of the building?” “Unfortunately we don’t, we’ll have to go in blind.” Curtis said. “Well that’s” I was cut off short when two of our guys ran in.

One of the two boys was my friend, Timothy. He used to date Ally, but they broke up when the zombie invasion began. She’s not very fond of him anymore. I stood up, and turned around, looked at their faces. Instantly, I knew something was wrong. “Jason we got a problem!” Yelled Tim. “Ok what’s the situation?” “Zombies, they broke through the back gate. One of the guards was bitten while sticking his fingers through the gate! He fell backwards, and hit the unlock button for the door. The entire courtyard is swarmed with sprinters” He said, looking behind him, as if he was paranoid. “Great. Curtis, evacuate the other survivors, and join the fight when you can. Also, get Ally, see if you can get her to help.” I took my pistol out of its holster, and checked the magazine. As Curtis went to help the others, Tim, the other boy, and I rushed through the back doors into the courtyard, and into the carnage.
