Too Grabby

Lucas Friar sat opposite to his ex-girlfriend-still best friend-Riley Matthews. She smirked at him, as she pointed towards the teacher, who was handing out them thief tests. Lucas Friar grinned back at her as she showed him her A. Lucas's eyes trailed down to his test sheet which his teacher handed to him, and he saw his grade written at the top with a thick, red marker.

He shrugged as he showed Riley his sheet who smugly put hers in her bag and looked away. "Bitch," he muttered silently under his breath but unfortunately Riley caught that and swore at him. Unfortunately, the teacher noticed their petty little fight, "Mr. Friar, Ms. Matthews," he barked, "do you have anything you'd like to share with the class?" Riley narrowed her eyes at me and looked away, and I went on reading my paper.

Suddenly my eyes caught a head of blond hair who was walking towards the teacher. Strutting more like it, Lucas thought as he scowled at her. Her cheerleading uniform hugged every single inch of her body perfectly, and she barely needed any makeup.

Maya Hart, the most popular girl in Abigail Adams High, and Riley Matthews's best friend. Riley was the second most popular girl, but they didn't really care who was the more popular. Lucas, Farkle, Zay, Maya, Riley, Smackle, and Charlie were in a tight group. They, were indeed the most popular people of the high school.

Almost each one of them had dated the other, and it had been a mess altogether. Lucas had dated Riley and Smackle, but he had never dated Maya because they never saw eye to eye. Every single guy was head over heals in love with Maya, expect for Lucas.

Lucas snapped back to reality as the teacher slipped out of the classroom to get something. He saw Maya walking back to her desk. As she walked by his desk slowly, he lightly pinched her butt. Maya jumped up in surprise as she turned around to look at Lucas's smiling face.

"Your ass looks great in that skirt," he smirked and a few students snickered. Maya turned a bright shade of red, and she grabbed the collar of his varsity jacket and pulled him up. "Whoa! Maya slow down!" Farkle said from his seat. Maya turned to him and smiled. She leaned over to Lucas's ear and whispered quietly, "you want me?" she said in a soft voice.

Lucas smirked at her and nodded. Maya let go off his shirt and walked back to her seat. She smiled at him, "You're never gonna get me." Lucas gritted his teeth at her, as he turned a light shade of red. Suddenly the teacher walked in, holding a new bunch of papers. "Okay class, so we're going to be doing a six-week project on how we can protect our environment," He said loudly, and the whole class groaned.

"We're not six years old!" Zay called from the back of the class, and everyone muttered in agreement. The teacher sighed, "The school board has decided this, and I can't help it."

"Anyway, I'll call out the names for the partners," he said, and started reading from the sheet of paper he was holding. "Farkle and Smackle!"

Smackle turned and winked at Farkle. Lucas noticed Riley watching them closely.

"Isiah and Dave!"

Zay groaned from the back of the classroom, and Dave shot him a glare.

"Riley and Charlie!"

Riley raised an eyebrow at Charlie who smirked at her.

"Lucas and..."

"Maya!"

There was a collective gasp in the classroom, and a  laugh. Maya turned to look it was Charlie. She made a gesture that she would slit his throat and he turned away, still laughing.

"No way!" Lucas exclaimed and him and Maya both rushed up to Mr. Matthews at the same time. "I'm not letting you switch!" He said quickly and the bell rang. Students murmured as they walked out of the class and their group came towards them. Everyone was silent for a little while and then they burst into fits of laughter.

"That was amazing!" Smackle laughed, as she put her arm around Riley for support. "I knew something like that would happen eventually!" Farkle winked at Lucas, and nudged him, who had a very bitter expression on his face.

"Yeah yeah laugh all you want," Maya scowled, "I'll just copy everything off of the Internet!" She glanced quickly at Lucas, who scowled back at her. "You can't do that!" Riley smiled at her best friend. Maya smirked at her as she raised an eyebrow, "and why not?"

"Because he has this app in his mobile that can detect it or something," Riley said causally, and Maya groaned. "Enough about all of this studying shit," Zay rolled his eyes, "there's a party at Scott's house tonight. You guys coming?"

Everyone agreed, and then Zay shot everyone a smirk, but deep down Lucas felt it was indicated towards him, and Maya. "The invitation said that you need to bring a date or they won't let you in," he smirked, and Farkle quickly put his arm around Smackle's waist and brought her closer to him. Smackle giggled as she put her head on his shoulder.

Riley put her arm around Charlie instantly after Farkle and Smackle stood closer. "And who are you taking?" Lucas folded his arms and frowned at Zay, "Vannessa." Zay shot his brilliant white teeth at a girl who was passing by.

Everybody looked at Lucas and Maya with hope, and Lucas rolled his eyes as he put his arm around Maya's waist. Maya smirked at his actions, "don't get too grabby."

"Let's see," he smiled at her.
