Zayn's POV
We had been at the beach for almost an hour now and it was starting to get sunnier by the minute. I was left in charge of cooking on the disposable barbecue so I was trying to focus, but I really couldn't. It was Selene who was distracting me. She looked so hot in her bikini, I just couldn't take my eyes off of her.
I think I've known for a while now that I do indeed fancy Selene but we all know that she is Louis' girl, even though they both don't realise it, they are meant for each other, but I still believe that we will go out at one point. I just want to be with her all the time and protect her until I can't protect her anymore.
Louis has it easy. He just has to confess to her that he loves her and he'll be hers because she knows deep down inside that she loves him but just hasn't realised it yet.
I looked down at the food to see I had burnt a sausage. Well done Zayn! You shitty cook!
Selene's POV
I was racing Harry along the beach and fuck I was tired. That boy should run for the Olympics. He's so fast. I decided to give up so I stopped and was panting for life. Harry stopped and ran towards me and picked me up and threw me over his shoulders.
" Harry! Put me down now!" I screamed in his ear.
" Never!"
He ran all the way back to the boys and threw me down on the sand. He looked at me very smugly and ran away.
" um...thanks?" I said not too sure
" You alright babe?" Louis said whilst giving me a hand up.
" Yup, my bum really hurts though" Louis gave me a confused look.
" Harry threw me down on the sand"
" Ah right, well you deserved it"
" What?! How is that true?" I said whilst wiping the sand off my legs.
" I don't know, I just felt like being mean." He said then ran off to Zayn who had burnt most of the sausages.
" Okay then!" I shouted back to him.
I walked over to where Liam and Niall were, they were just sitting and talking about stuff so I went and sat on Nialls knee.
" Can I help you?" Niall said whilst putting his arms around my waist.
" Nope, I'm fine" I said whilst smiling back at him.
He would usually do stuff like that. I found it normal, all the boys did it. I don't mind it at all.
" Wow....Selene?" Niall asked.
" what is it?" I replied whilst turning back to look at him.
"You need to get off me now cos' you're heavy" Niall said whilst pushing me off.
"Um....thanks Niall, and here I thought I was losing weight!" I said whilst storming off.
" Sorry Selene!" He shouted but I ignored him. I couldn't be bothered.
I went over to see Zayn and I put my hands on his shoulders and he flinched. " Zayn it's just me, you alright ?" I asked whilst looking into his eyes.
" Yeah, I'm fine, i....erm.....just got a fright that's all, haha. I wasn't expecting you to come over here" He said whilst flipping over a sausage.
" Ah right well why don't you come in the sea with me? Just get Harry to finish the food, to be honest Zayn, I think he's better."
" Excuse me? I think I am a good cook!"
" I know but he's better" I said whilst tugging on his hand, he was reluctant to come.
" All right fine! Fine!" he says whilst smiling at me.
"Race you? Ready ? " I say whilst getting into the starting position.
" No wait! " Zayn says whilst taking a stance beside me.
" Go!" I shout really loud.
We run like two headless chickens to the sea and feeling the water around my feet is soothing. I turn to Zayn and kick water right in his face.
" You're gonna pay for that!" He shouts whilst running straight for me
I turn around in a swift motion attempting to escape but large arms go around my waist and spin me around.
" Zayn! " I shout at the top of my lungs.
" Yes my dear ? is there a problem?" He asks like there is nothing wrong.
" Let go of me!"
" Okay" at this he lets go and I take the opportunity to jump on his back and he goes tumbling down into the water getting a good taste of the sharp sea salt.
" You're welcome!" I say then run back to the boys. Well that was fun.

Niall's POV
" Come on guys! We need to get going!" Liam shouted right at the top of his voice.
" NO! IM HAVING TOO MUCH FUN!" Louis screamed drunkenly.
I was helping Liam pack everything into the bags we brought along with us when I noticed Selene wasn't around. I put some bags on the sand and went in to the middle of the beach and there I saw her, sitting on the sand, enveloping her legs with her petite arms.
I walk straight over to her ignoring the shouts from Liam to help him.
" Selene?" I ask whilst crouching down beside her.
She looks up at me with glassy eyes and a red face. Its clear she has been crying.
" Oh...hey Niall.." She says with the smallest voice in the world.
" What's wrong ? are you okay?" I move closer to her so I'm right in front of her.
" No not really Niall.. I just need some space for a while" I am completely shocked by her words. She wants space ? What could she mean? I stay silent, waiting for her to explain.
" Oh Niall, you don't even know how much I don't want to do this, but I need to." Her tears threaten to spill but she holds it in.
" What do you not want to do Selene?"
" Niall... I'm going back home. I've been in England for a long time now and I just think that right now is a good time. I need to be with my family at this point in my life. This is really hard for me because Louis is what's making me keep changing my mind but I need to go. I'm sorry."
Selene is full on crying and I stand up bringing her with me and pull her in for a hug. I can't believe after all this time that she is just going to leave us. Just out of the blue.
" Selene.. I think you're over thinking this. I really do, there is nothing wrong with your life! why do you need to leave us? You look after us when we need to be looked after and we will be hopeless without you! Please just stay?" I look at her with pleading eyes. Just hoping that she will change her mind.
" I'm sorry Niall... I've made my choice."

I know it has been quite some time since I updated this story but I haven't had the time to so I'm sorry.
I have been on and off writing this chapter for months but I decided I would try and finish it this week so I hope you enjoyed.
So what do you think? I know it's weird to have my main character leave so early in the book but I have an idea so don't worry, it gets better ;)
