Chapter 5 - First Day Back

I woke up in a happy mood and a smile on my face. I hopped out of bed and walked into the bathroom carrying my clothes for the day and my towel. I turned the shower on and set it to high then jumped in. I wash soon finished and in my clothes that I chose to wear under my robes. I had chose bottle green high waisted jeans and a plum coloured vest top and a pair of purple high tops. I walked out to find Ginny and Lavender waiting to go into the bathroom.

"You look extremely happy Hermione, is it because it's the first days of lessons. We know how much you love to learn"

"Well, that is one of the reasons"

"What do you mean one of the reasons, what is the other reason"

"I can't tell you" I said pushing past them

I made my way down to the great hall, as soon as I got there I scanned the surrounding area to not see the person I wanted to see. I sat down and grabbed a slice of toast waiting for everybody else to make their way into the hall.

Draco's PoV

I woke up to someone banging about. I sat up and looked for the source of the noise, until I found where it had came from.

"Blaise, shut the hell up I'm trying to sleep here"

"You do know that you need to get up now, or else you will be late"

"Okay, okay I'm up"

I got dressed quickly and walked to the great hall wanting to get something to eat.

I walked in and looked towards the Gryffindor table. It was then that I saw her, she had a beautiful smile on her face laughing at something that Longbottom had said.

I made my way to the Slytherin table and sat down next to Blaise and Theo.

"What are you staring at mate"

"Nothing, and Theo don't speak while you are eating it's disgusting"

"Whatever"

"Hey mate, I know you are staring at someone and it seems that they are sat at the Gryffindor table"

"No I'm not, anyway why don't you mind your own business Blaise"

Our timetables had just got dropped of I looked at it and was overcome with glee. My first 3 lessons were with Gryffindor.

I walked to Transfiguration and sat in my seat waiting for the professor to come in. Hermione came in with Weaslette and sat in the front row.

"Right class, this year I am pairing you up whether you like it or not" I looked at Professor McGonagall and just hoped she had put me with Hermione.

"These are your pairs. Mr Nott with Mr Longbottom, Mr Finnegan with Miss A Greengrass, Mr Thomas with Miss D Greengrass, Miss Brown with Mr Weasley, Mr Potter with Miss Parkinson, Mr Malfoy with Miss Weasley and Miss Granger with Mr Zabini. Now I want no excuses, you work with whoever I tell you to. Now switch seats so that you are next to your partners"

I moved towards Weaslette and sat next to her

"I don't like this Malfoy, but we have to get a long to work together so truce"
"Yeah truce"

Hermione's PoV

I was really hoping that I got put with Draco but Blaise is alright I suppose. He walked over and sat in the seat next to mine.

"Hey Hermione"

"Did you just call me Hermione"

"Yeah, I thought we could maybe be friends"

"Sure Blaise, we can be friends"

The lesson went quicker than I thought it would, but I had a great time with Blaise.

I decided to ask Blaise if he wanted to walk to Potions with me and sit next to me.

"Hey Blaise, do you want to be partners with me in potions"

"Yeah sure Mione"

We walked into potions and sat next to each other in the middle row. Not long after our new professor walked in.

"My name is Professor Frobel and I will be teaching potions this year. Whoever you are sat next to will be your partner for the rest of the year"

I looked at Blaise and smiled this is going to be fun especially because of our new found friendship.

It was finally dinner time and Blaise asked me if I wanted to sit with him at the Slytherin table. I said I would but Ginny had to come with me.

Ginny and I sat at the Slytherin table next to Blaise, while Draco sat across from us.

Blaise's PoV

Hermione is amazing and I can't believe that she is my friend already. I hope that we become good friends because I have always liked her. I just hope that we could maybe become more. I walked back to the common room with Draco and Theo.

"Isn't she amazing Draco"

"Who"

"Hermione that's who"

"What are you on about her for Blaise"

"Because I might have feeling for her, which might be more then friends"

Draco's PoV

"WHAT" I literally screamed

"What, it's not my fault I can't help it"

I literally stomed of to my dorm leaving a shocked Blaise behind me. I couldn't believe that he liked my Hermione. Well all I'm hoping is that she doesn't like Blaise back because I want her for myself.
