The next morning I woke up and left my shed, I seen a figure to my left thinking it was my brother I greeted him, all I received back was the moans and growls of a walker I quickly ran back into my shed locking it from the inside and getting my knife out of the container and waiting in the far corner of the shed, furthest away from the monster. I paged my parents on the Walky talky, no answer. I looked out the window and there was a hoard of 50 walkers or more. I paged my brother, thankfully he picked up, "lock the inner lock in your shed and stay there" I instructed him and he did as I said. I tried my parents again, still no answer. I decided that I needed to take action I took out one of the plastic windows And lined up my gun and applied my silencer just like dad taught me than I stuck the end of the barrel out of the window and aimed at one of the walkers, shooting him in the head I shot 5 more. " make sure your quiet now" my dad whispered to me as we laid on the ground of the forest floor with my 22 shotgun lined up and aimed at a moose, I was in Aweh, this was the closest I have ever been to a moose. " you ready?" My dad asked, I shook my head and smiled, I looked through the scope, lining up the shot to the head of the mammal, I took a few deep breaths and placed my finger on the trigger and shot. The moose let out a groan and began to stager, I lined up another kill shot and shot him dead to the ground "good job sweetie, I'm so so proud of you" said my dad, I smiled and hugged him "I'm proud of me too" I whispered into his chest.

I snapped out of the memory to see walkers arms flooding through the open panel. I punched out another panel, and began shooting, knocking walkers down one by one, watching them pile up, I began crying when I came to the realization that this is our world now, all these walkers once were people, this isn't fair, I'm only thirteen. I wiped away my tears and lined up my gun again "this is for my family" I whispered and continue to shoot the walkers.
Shortly after other gun fire emerged knocking down 4 times the walkers, in no time they were all gone, I seen my dad run out and search for how the walkers managed to get in. There was a door that led to the next building that was open, my dad closed the door and set up locks and the works to keep it closed. I ran out and hugged all my family members tight. "What are we gonna do with the bodies" my brother asked and We all fell silent.
