“Lyla, seriously, shut the fuck up you stupid whore! I’m a block away!” I snapped into the phone as I walked across the crosswalk, looking both ways.
“Missy! Just hurry up and get here, you have a customer waiting!” Lyla yelled into the phone. Without saying goodbye I hung up on her and shoved my phone into my back pocket, god she could be aggravating sometimes! I quickly picked up my pace weaving my way through the other pedestrians that had all decided that they would walk as slow as possible, after a good five minutes I finally walked through the front door of my tattoo shop.
“You stupid cunt! I’m here,” I called out walking past a group of guys, I went out to the back to set my bag down by my table when Lyla pounced on me.
“It’s the guy with the mop on his head,” Lyla told me throwing her un-naturally bright red hair into a messy bun atop her head. Lyla is gorgeous and she always has been, she’s got piercing green eyes, not to mention she’s got legs to die for.
I walked back into the lobby and surveyed the room before laying my eyes on the group of five guys lounging on the couch.
“Hey mop head; what can I do you for?” I asked not even bothering to act nice, I walked over to the group and stood in front of the boy with brown curly hair, and green eyes. He looked vaguely familiar but I couldn’t put my finger on where I’ve seen him and I really didn’t care.
“Are you Natalia Anderson?” The boy said with a thick English accent.
“That would be me, Britty, but please I’m begging you, call me Missy. Very few people call me by my full name and you aren’t one of them. Are you the one getting the tattoo?” I asked and he nodded his head.
“Right, well follow me and we’ll get started!” Him and the rest of his gang all stood up and followed me back to my work table, where I pulled up a few extra chairs for his friends, I signalled for him to sit down on the table and he eventually did.
“So what is it you’re wanting?” I asked him before down sitting down.
“I want a butterfly,” He simply stated, I looked at him as if he were dumb before pulling the expression off my face, people seemed to get mad when I made fun of them so I had learnt to restrain myself from doing it.
“Okay, do you have one already picked one out or do I need to do that for you?” I asked him pointing to my laptop that was next to me.
“Well, I was hoping you could draw one up and I’ll tell you if I like it?” He asked and I mentally groaned, I hate when I have to do this but I guess nobody really likes their jobs and those who say they do almost always don’t.
“Right, it’ll take me about fifteen minutes to draw, that cool, mophead?” I asked him and he nodded his head slowly.
“Sorry she’s so bitter this morning, I bet she hasn’t had her morning cup of kitty snuggles,” Lyla said as she walked over and handed me a cup of coffee.
“Hey, you don’t joke about my kitty snuggles. Malley is mad at you,” I told her, speaking of my calico male kitten at home.
“I’ll buy him some catnip,” Lyla said before walking away again. I was just doing the outline of the stupid butterfly when one of his friends spoke up.
“So, Kat, do you plan on completing that sleeve on your left arm?” One asked, he had black hair and was the tannest of them all, and you could tell that was his natural skin complexion not like the last dick I dated that got more spray tans then me.
“Most definitely. I’ve been drawing up the rest of it, I just need to finish a few things here and there,” I told him with a smile on my face. I took a quick glance at his arm and saw he had the start of a half sleeve, with a really cool microphone tattoo.
