It takes about an hour for us to reach Atlanta and by the time we got there my leg had already healed. Mr. Christmas pulls the truck down a small road behind a Walmart and turned off the ignition. "The hospital is just a few blocks away. Let me drop off this load and Ill take y'all by there" Me and Jason looked at each other and shake our heads. Mr. Christmas smiles and gets out of the truck closing the door with a loud bang.

"We aren't waiting for him are we" Kittcat, who was sleeping the entire time, says sleepily.

I smile "Of course not"

Jason carefully lays his hand on my leg. "Hows your leg" He says quietly

"Its fine I cant feel any pain when I move it so I think Im good" I say cheerfully.

Jason nods and reaches into the glove box and pulls out a wallet. He takes out some of the cash and jumps from the truck, leaving the wallet in the driver seat.

Jason looks from side to side and then signal for us to follow. Slowly I lower myself from the truck a short small pain shoots through my leg but I can still walk. I follow Jason as we sneak around the truck and into the parking lot, our pace quickens with every step. I can hear a shout behind us but I don't dear to look back. "So where are we going" I shouted,f my lungs heavy from running. We stop in front of a McDonalds panting

"Um first we need to find out where we are" Jason says. "Now let me see your leg." He bends down and carful removes the bandages. "what the..."

"what" I say worrying that I had further injured my leg.

"Its.... Its fine" Jason stammers.

"No its not tell me" I say angrily

"NO YOUR LEG IS FINE AS IN ITS FUCKING HEALED" Jason looks away from me"what the hell did they do to you" He whispered. I look at him confused.

"what do you mean I have always healed fast, or for as long as I can remember" I say looking at my healed leg.

"Well how far back can you remember" Jason snaps.

"Well I can remember coming to the lab thats the last thing I remember" I say quietly.
"EXACTLY THIS KIND OF THING ISNT NATURAL" Jason yells. "we aren't normal" Jason says sitting down on the ground next to me. people walk past us giving us strange looks.
"what do you mean" I say to him.
Jason closes his eyes "Ill tell you later. Lets find somewhere to stay." Jason gets up is pushes past me taking one more long look at my leg. "don't worry Spark...Ill make them pay for this" he whispers.

We settle in an abandoned building some where in town. Theres a lot of homeless people here but they seem nice enough and welcome us. We find an empty room and settle in. The room is old and run down and the smell of mold. Two mice scurry past my foot and I jump a little. I go to stomp at it but Kittcat stops me.

"Stop you'll hurt it!" She says crouching down on ground. She extends her hand towards the mouse and her eyes go cloudy. The mouse looks at her confused then slowly inches towards her. He eyes clear and she smiles as the mouse craws up onto her hand.

"Kittcat, be carful it might have rabies." I said as it craws up her arm and onto her shoulder. Kittcat giggles. "Mice can also carry many diseases, like you know the black death started with mice didn't it? I remember that from our lessons back at the lab." I say.

"No that was with rats." X cuts it with an irritated tone.

"No he safe, this is Clide." She says as she pats the mouses brown fur.

"Oh really." I say sarcastically.

"Yah he told me!" Kittcat chirps.

"Great she's going crazy." I groan. Jason places his hand on my shoulder and shakes his head. I roll my eyes and cross my arms.
