A bored Charlene Turner lay sprawled out across her light pink bed with her head dangling off the side. Her room hadn't been redecorated since sometime in middle school, but she didn't mind too much. It was painted in shades of pinks and purples, most everything else in the room similar colors, with splashes of glitter here and there... Her bed was adorned with a few pillows embroidered with floral patterns and a dark blue stuffed unicorn that stood out in the pink room. Charlene reached over and grabbed her prized unicorn, Maybeck had given it to her as a birthday present a few years before.
A tuff of blonde hair fell in front of her bright blue eyes as she sighed. Blowing the hair out of her face she mumbled,"What to do, what to do..."
She looked at her phone turning up the music that played from the device. She was listening to a band that Willa had suggested a few weeks back, to her surprise she actually enjoyed the music. It was a group who only sang covers and mash-ups, which was why Charlene expected she wouldn't care for them much. If she remembered correctly, they were called Anthem Lights.
An idea struck her as a One Republic mash-up came on. Charlene spun the phone in her hands and typed in the short 4 digit password to get into her phone and typed into the group chat she always had open; Willa, Amanda, and Jess.
Hey, anyone wanna go 2 mall? Dying of boredom she sent the message in hoped that someone was available to hang out. Her phone chimed.
Sorry Char. Study group just started.  Charlene began typing again, it's fine. Jess? Mandy? The phone went off again. 1)don't call me Mandy.2)can't go out, sorry. Me&Jess' day for chores with Nash. Charlene let out a sigh of disappointment. So much for that.
