"How many nightgowns are in that box?"
"I don't now, I have a lot."
"There is at least twenty thousand in
there.""Just pick one."

Spending the night with Lexa was an adventure every time you did it; it happened quite often that she would get pulled away by one of her guards. That didn't stop you though just the familiar scent of her pillow made you feel safe. War paint was the first thing you'd see on the morning of a battle, the Heda slowly convincing you that she would be fine, only to come back drenched in blood. There is one thing you can always count on, the nightgowns she laid out for herself every night. The nightgowns that she made sure you would wear one too; it was a comforting sight for Lexa to see the woman she loved in her favorite night gown. But tonight was different there was an eerie feeling falling across Polis, and you had to make sure your lover was alright.
-Y/n's p.o.v
Silence fell at dusk leaving me with an ominous feeling. I hadn't heard the familiar sound of Lexa's men through the streets at all, or seen my girlfriend all day. Worry found its way to me and by the time I put my sword in its place I was shaking. My heart pounded against the ground as I entered the tower I drew my sword when the guards were not on watch and made my way to her quarters. I could hear voices through the thin fabric, well one voice.
"I sent the guards to get y/n. Although it looks like she has a sixth sense. Y/n, you can come in." Clarke's voice said.
I slowly walked in to find my girlfriend on the couch sleeping.
"When did she fall asleep?" I asked sitting by lexa's sleeping body.
"A few hours ago." Clarke smiled at me.
I felt someone shift beside me and lay their head in my lap.
"Y/n, you're safe." Lexa breathed wrapping her arms around me.
"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked kissing her forehead.
"The people aren't happy about me making the sky people the thirteenth clan." She sighed into me.
"Let's get you to bed. You too Clarke, get some sleep." I smiled lifting Lexa off of me.

Once we entered Lexa's room I went to pull something from her closet for her to sleep in. I went to grab a black night gown when I heard footsteps.
"Give me that one, it's my favorite." Lexa's voice said as her hands ran through my hair.
"Wait, I have something for you." She said taking a box out of her closet.
"Here." She said setting the box in front of me.
I looked down and pulled out at least 4 nightgowns with one hand."How many nightgowns are in that box?"
"I don't now, I have a lot."
"There is at least twenty thousand in
there.""Just pick one."

I put on a black one almost identical to the one Lexa put on and walked towards her bed. I slipped into the covers next to my girlfriend and wrapped my arms around her waist."Get some sleep baby, you need it." I said rubbing her back
"Goodnight." She said closing her eyes.
I knew right then that I was safe, safe from whatever tried to tear us apart. She was the commander of not only the trikru but she was also the love of my life. I will always love Lexa and her 20 thousand night gowns.
