Home Again
For a while my heart was torn
My watecolors seeping through a wet and broken canvas,
Painting a picture of a fragile snow flake,
Ready to shatter, ready to fall
Two months felt like two years
My life was ageing away
Hair after hair would become dull,
Eyes and lips became hollow
Then I remembered I'd come back,
My numb and empty head filled with a string of hope,
Desperate to survive forever,
Just to be home again
I didn't belong there
My heart was here with you
I return once more,
After a thought-to-be neverending horror movie
I'm home
Tears of joy fill these hollow eyes
My skin returns to it's radiance
Don't ever lose hope that you wont be at home again
