Chapter 1 - 'Get a Room!'

Robbie's POV

I opened the double doors of Hollywood Arts leading into the main hallway.

It was busy, as usual, as I awkwardly walked forwards looking for someone I knew.

Then I stopped, as did my heart.

There. There she is. A big bubble of bright red wonderfulness. Oh shut up, I can barely think straight never mind come up with descriptions that make sense.

'What are you waiting for dummy?' is what Rex would say if he were here.

I had to leave him at home you see, he wasn't feeling well. I hate coming out without him but he tends to get aggressive, more so than usual, when he's feeling under the weather.

Taking a deep breath in, I walked over towards her locker, trying to look as cool as possible.

Obviously I failed. Robbie Shapiro cannot be cool.

'Hey Robbie' said Cat brightly with a cute smile.

I just love that smile. And those eyes. That hair. Those lips-

'Robbie hellllllo?' she said again waving her hands in front of my face while I stood there staring at her with a strange smile on my face.

Oh god, she's looking at me like I'm some kind of freak.

I snapped out of it, blushing.

'Oh, um hi. I was just um...' I stuttered

'Gorming?' She said with a giggle

'Yes, um... Gorming.'

The bell rang and people started to disperse to their classes.

'Sikowitz?' I said to her

'Lets do it!' She agreed with a smile

She grabbed my wrist and off we went.

Cat's POV

Robbie and I sped round the corner to Sikowitz's class. I had him by the wrist, not intentionally but... Well... It was just one of those spur of the moment kind of things! Anyways he didn't object.

I'd seen him the moment he walked in this morning. I kept my head facing my locker, pretending to be busy.

He just makes me so nervous! I don't know why... I mean we've been close friends for at least two years now. So why all of a sudden does he make my stomach butterfly and my head spin?!

I know, I know. Sounds like I'm in love right? Well, I do think he's funny... and kind. And smart. And cute. And his hair is so curlyyyyyy! And-
But no. No of course not! It would be weird. But even still... NO CAT!

We rounded the last corner and My mind was whizzing with the thought of him being at the other end of my arm when I smacked straight into the classroom door.

'Ouchy' I squeaked, rubbing my head.

'Cat are you okay?!' said Robbie, in a concerned tone.

'Oh yeah, yeah I'm f-' I said quickly before starting to topple over.

'Woah, steady on there!' he said, catching me awkwardly.

My head was swimming with pain from hitting the door and excitement from Robbie's arms wrapped around me, keeping me upright.

'Thanks Rob' I said with a smile, looking up at him.

He unwrapped his arms from my waist, blushing like a tomato.

Agh, why is he so cute?!

'No! Don't let go!' I almost yelled, clutching onto his hands.

'I mean... um I might fall over still' I stammered, pretending to sway.

What the hell. 'NO DON'T LET GO'
Do you want to sound desperate?!

'Sorry' he said with a nervous smile, as he slid his shaky hands around my waist again.

I rested my head against his chest and listened to his heartbeat. It was like listening to a jackhammer that skipped beats.

Was he really this nervous?

I looked up at him and as I did so, the door to Sikowitz's classroom opened, exposing us to the gawping class.

'I thought someone was-' started Mr Sikowitz

'Oh, sorry to interrupt!' He exclaimed, flashing us a sarcastic look.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone leap out of her seat with a bemused look on her face.

'Get a room!' Jade sneered, as she kicked the door shut in our faces with her black Doc Martins.

Robbie's POV

Oh no. Oh no. Oh nonono. This was not good. The whole class had just seen me with my arms around Cat.

I mean, it wasn't a bad thing necessarily. Cat Valentine was by far the prettiest girl at Hollywood Arts and in comparison to me... Well.

But the thing is... Cat, as perfect as she is, has some issues... She's never said anything to any of us but I know she must have psychological problems. I mean she's definitely bipolar, which was rearing its ugly head.

'Robbie!' she wailed, tearing up.

'They all just saw us and they're going to talk about it and I think I saw someone with his PearPhone out and- WHAT IF ITS ON THE SLAP?!' She exclaimed, pulling away from me.

Tears where running down her flushed cheeks.

Wow. Was the thought of being seen in public with me THAT depressing?

'Cat! Don't worry about it!' I said confidently.

'No one will put it on the Slap. We weren't doing anything wrong!' I continued, reassuring her.

'You're sure?' She asked, blinking away her watery eyes.

'Yes. Now come on, lets walk in with our heads held high'

'kay kay' she breathed, as she bit her lip, still unsure.

I wiped away the tears on her stained cheeks with the sleeves of my jumper and put on a bright smile.

'Your jumper is so soft' she said in awe.

Next thing I knew, she'd linked her arm through mine and was cuddling the soft blue fabric, sending shudders up my spine and butterflies in my stomach.

Oh my.
