My big day was just around the corner. I had everything planned. One problem is.... I have to wait for him to get back. As much as I hated it he went off to fight in the war. It has been a year with out him and my heart is breaking.
He was on his way back home and we were going to have our wedding the next day. As I waited for him to get off the airplane and meet me in the airport I was anxious. I wanted to be in his arms again. I wanted to be able to hug him, kiss him, and tell him I loved him again.
When I seen him walking through the crowd of people to meet me I suddenly started to run. I ran till I got to him and I jumped in his arms and he spun me around. I kissed him and told him I was glad he was back.
The next day came and as I was walking down the isle tears were rolling down his face, I hoped they'd be joyful tears. We said our vows and put the rings on each others fingers. When the preacher told Zeke he could kiss the bride now he took me and dipped me over his leg gently and kissed me.
We were walking to the car for our honeymoon and everyone crowded around saying there goodbyes.
"I just want you to know you can always come back and live with me if you need to" momma said to me.
"I know momma. I might when he goes back to war" I replied.
As me and him piled into the car everyone wished us good luck. We set off for the road. We didn't know where we were going, we kinda just drove to where our hearts lead us.
Our night was unforgettable. I dreaded the fact he would have to leave in a few days. We had three days and I would have to wait another full six months till he came back to me. I drove him to the airport and said goodbye.
