Adrienette [Circus AU]

Marinette is a part-time acrobat. Even without her abilities as Ladybug, she is still really flexible. 

~ At the Circus ~

"You're doing great Mari, no need to worry. It's not like Adrien is going to be their." Alya says to her worry-filled friend. Marinette has a crush on Adrien. It's obvious to about everyone in the school but Adrien. But no one knows that Adrien feels the same way about her. He is better about which feeling are displayed and which ones are not.

"You're right. It's not like Adrien will have front row seats to the circus and be watching every move I make. Marinette says while actually imagining it.

The Ring Master comes along and says to Marinette:

"Mari, the schedule has been changed. You must preform with Terry the Tiger. Edward the Elephant is being handed to Alya. Alya, you will be put into the performance to see how you will do and we see from there. Got it?" He says looking at horrified Marinette. She nods without knowing it.

"Got it?" He says to a pleasantly surprised Alya.

"Y-Yes Ace. Ri-right away." Alya squeals while sprinting to the trampoline to practice. She may not have been a professional acrobat, but she knows what to do from watching them do their performance perfectly without a single flaw. Marinette snaps out of her daze and focuses on trying to perform with Terry.

Where Nino and Adrien are

They will soon be doing another show, it will be at Calanques National Park, which just so happened to be where Niño bought tickets to see the circus. Niño tries to persuade Adrien into coming with him but Adrien says 'Circuses are all the same: acrobat, clown, animals' but Niño says otherwise. 

"Come on Adrien! It'll be fun!" Nino says with enthusiasm.

"As the many times I said before Niño, no." Adrien said to a disappointed Niño. Then Niño suddenly blossoms an idea. Adrien has liked Ladybug in the past but why kid himself when he knows it never gong to happen. After he realizes Ladybug will never warm up to him, so decided to give Marinette a try and he ends up falling in love with her. Niño remembers when him an Marinette were talking and she had brought up that Alya and herself was an acrobat. She told him not to tell a soul but he thinks:

She'll probably thank me for this since they both feel the same way about each other... 

"Well that's too bad......Marinette's going to be there..." Niño trails of knowing it'll convince Adrien.

As Adrien begins to walk away he heard his bubble-loving friend mention his crush with dazzling ocean blue eyes. Adrien rushes back to the spot where Niño stood praising himself.

"What?" Adrien asks suddenly filled with interest.

"You heard me. I said 'Marinette going to be there'." Niño repeats.

"Really? Why didn't you say so? If you told me earlier I would've agreed in a flash." Adrien says.

Time Skip to when the Circus starts

Adrien and Nino are in the front row waiting for the curtains to be pulled, signaling that the show is starting. A few minutes later the fire red curtains pull open and shows the crowd the ringmaster, Ace.

"Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. Prepare to be amazed with the Circus Terrestrialus!" Ace presents the band of mice a.k.a, Mus Equipe. They play Color Gitano with the help of Charlotte's paw-some voice.

[Real French song by the way...and it isn't Adrien's P.O.V it's all in third person.]

After a few more performances, it was finally Marinette's turn to wow the crowd. Terry comes out first then Marinette walk out in her black leotard and a Ladybug themed tutu. Marinette was too occupied to even notice Adrien's eyes glued to her figure. Terry sits perfectly trained on the floor and Marinette takes a few steps back. She starts running and does a round-off, a few cartwheels and a front aerial to top it off. She jumps onto a large ball and jumps through a fiery hoop landing on Terry.  Aiden, the aerialist takes her by the hands and flips her through the air handing her off to Alan, Aiden's brother, both fairly handsome. Adrien sees the interaction and erupts in jealousy but doesn't show it....at first. After that part is over, thank god for Adrien's sake, she takes a bow and realizes that Adrien is sitting in the front row. She blushes and they stare at each other for a good minute before the next act must come on stage.

Time Skip till after the show

Adrien rushes to find Marinette and finds her backstage. He smiles and starts to walk up to her but sees that she and Aiden are talking. He hides behind the nearest wall and eavesdrops.

"Nice job, beautiful." Aiden says flirtatiously. Marinette knew Aiden had a thing for her but she didn't feel the same way, her heart belonged to Adrien.

"Thanks Aiden, you too, see you next week." Marinette says while walking off but he grabs her by the wrist and spins her around to a point where they're extremely close and there facing each other.

"How about a goodbye kiss before you go..." He says while puckering up. He leans closer and closer. Adrien couldn't take it anymore. Adrien was stronger enough to take Marinette from Aiden's grip and into his own. He spins her around like Aiden and doesn't hesitate to smash his lips onto hers. Marinette was shocked at first but slowly melted into the kiss. They pulled apart and Adrien looked Aiden in the face and mouthed, "Mine." Marinette couldn't have enough. Before she could think about her actions she kissed him again. Alya was secretly hiding behind a wall recording and taking enough pictures to fill and entire photo album. Aiden was furious, he ran back stage and closed the storage closet.
