Chapter 1 : Trouble On The First Day
Thena's Perspective
I grin as I walk through the glass doors which confirms I am in my 3rd year of high school. My eyes search the bustling crowd searching for one of my friends. "Thena, is that you?" I hear a familiar voice behind me. I spin around and smile widely. "Marcel! Oh my goodness how long has it been since I've seen you?" I set down my books on the floor and hug him tightly. "Well it has been a while Thena but only 7 weeks." We walk down the hall together for a while happily but that was short lived when I hear a whistle and a rough voice say "Hey babe, how about you and me go at it tonight?" I spin around and glare at Harry saying "Yea or how about you shove off and leave me alone." Harry's grin grows looking at me and then Marcel who has slightly backed up behind me.
"Let me guess you'd rather have the nerd, my brother, Marcel." Harry hissed making Marcel shiver and back up a bit more. "Stop it." Harry's eyes widen and we both look at Marcel who looks upset and strong but also scared out of him mind. Harry walked up to him and said "Make me." Marcel shook his head and Harry laughed "your not going to because I'm right, you want her so badly don't you nerd? huh, dont you Marcel?" Harry is practically shouting now and I step infront of Marcel and say "Harry, back off! You're his brother for god's sake start acting like it instead of being a total ass. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to class with Marcel."
I grab Marcel's hand balancing my books in the other and pull him along to english class where we sat in the front row and got our books in order. "Thena! Marcel!" We look over to see Ani and Emily who ran over and sat in the other two seats in the front. "Hey guys, whats up?" I ask smiling at the two girls. "Well nothing much, sorry we weren't here earlier but my step sister decided to shower for for 30 minutes when we had to leave in 20." Emily said glaring at Ani as she beamed at her taller step sister who rolled her eyes. "Love you too Emmy!" Ani cooed hugging Emily's arm tighly. Marcel laughed and whispered "Do those two ever quit?" I laugh lightly and shrug as Mr. Long walks in. "Hello class I'm your teacher some of you may know me from last year and those who don't, beware the wrath." The class laughs weakly most of them knowing he is all bark and no bite.
"So, for your first assignment i would like you to talk to all your classmates and see how their summers were." The class cheers a bit and then turn their chairs to talk to their friends. "I'm kinda dissapointed there isn't a real assignment to do but what were you doing over summer?" Marcel asked me as I thought and answer "Played on my computer, swam and read the summer novel about 5 times and you?" Marcel laughed and said "About the same as you except I wrote the essay already and read the book 2 more times." Ani jumped in "Well Emily and I hung out with people, went to the mall and took a trip to the caribbean." Marcel and I raised our eyebrows at her as the bell rang. "Well, now that we all learned about our friends summers and had a fun first period its time for second so goodbye all of you."
I scramble out of the door with our books but don't get to far as i get tripped and fall flat on my face as a group laughs cruelly. "Sorry nerd let me help you up." I looked up to see Mya sticking out her hand to help me up, I reach for it but she pulls away and laughs again. "Hey! Leave Thena alone!" I push myself up and look at Ani, Emily and Marcel who are standing behind me strongly. "Or what?" Mya asks as the 3 gulp but Emily speaks up fixing her glasses "Or we will um.....k..kk kick all of you to the curb." Mya laughs along with Louis, Niall and Zayn who joined her infront of me. I pick up all of my books, stand up and say "We really didn't mean anything I am sorry I tripped on your shoe now can we go and forget this ever happened?" Niall frowned and answered "But we were just beginning the fun and plus your friend said she would kick us to the curb so lets see what you got." I looked back at my friends who looked like they were going to wet themselves. "Uh...um... you wouldn't hit a group with glasses would you?" I asked nervously backing up until I bumped into Ani and Marcel. "Actually I would." Niall says strongly as i spun around and took off with the rest following. "We are gunna die!"
We turned the corner shraply and couldn't see the bullies after us anymore. "I think we're safe guys." I say but then run into the worst thing possible Edward "Did you just run into me bitch?" His hand clamped onto my wirst hard making me whimper "I'm really sorry I didn't mean to we were getting chaced and I just wanna get to class please let go." He tighted his grip instead of letting go and said "Maybe you should've thought about that before you ran into me." My eyes were wide with fear as i wriggled trying to get out of his grip. why must I always find myself in trouble? "What are you gunna do if you don't let me go?" He smiled and said "I hear Harry was looking for you." He pulled me behind him forcefully as i screamed "No!" My friends watched sadly as I was dragged away by my wrist not knowing what was going to happen.
