Chapter 2.

I slowly made my way back to the house where I knew information hungry werewolves would be waiting. Still in wolf form I took a deep breath through my nostrils and embraced all the scents, I could smell the damp wood from the trees after the resent rain fall, the smell of decaying leaves as my paws crossed them, the smell of panic that filled the atmosphere.

Slowly walking up the steps of the porch I shifted back into human and grabbed the long jacket that sat waiting on the door before opening it.  Silence filled the once question asking room, my eyes peered around the corner of the living room wall. "Fuck" I whispered at the sight of Derek sitting quietly as the rest surrounded him.

I took a step back and felt a large body behind me.  Knowing exactly whom it was I lowered my head and turned around to face his blue eyes.  "What happened?" he whispered so no one could hear us, obviously he wanted to know the story before people twisted it.

"It's a misunderstanding, please don't hate me" I whimpered, hoping he would bypass the question of what actually happened.

"I would never hate you" he pulled me into a hug, rapping his warm arms around my cool neck. "I just want to know why" he stated.

I looked up into his eyes "I didn't break the rule" Confusion covered his face as I lowered my head back into his chest.

*Cough* I quickly jumped back to see my brother leaning against the door frame.  He made a swift nod to Isaac who knew it was his queue to leave. "Sister, how are we going to explain this" he looked deep into my eyes and I looked into his. My mother always told me 'When you are looking for answers, look into the person you love most's eyes and you will find the answer' All I found was a memory that I wanted to forget.

"I never broke the rule, Derek" He looked down and then back up to me. "I only obeyed you."

Pain flashed through his eyes like a lightening bolt. "I know and I'm sorry" He whispered.

I smiled "I'm going to my room to think.. tell the others I will explain tomorrow?" he nodded and kissed my forehead before walking back into the living room.

I bounced on my bed and placed my head on my pillow and listened.  When I closed my eyes all I could see was Scott's horrified face, I decided I would go to his house and explain to him first.  So that's what I did. I hoped out my window and made a light jog down through the wood to Scott's, When I reached his I slowly made my way to the door.  I knocked 3 times and took a step back looking for a sign of life.  Melissa, his mother opened the door. "Hello Anna darlin'" her sweet perfect smile shined as she took a step back allowing me in.

"Hi, is Scott in?" I said before walking in.

"In his room" she smiled then went back to the sitting room as I closed the door and made my way to Scott's room.

I knocked another 3 times on his bedroom door. "Not in the mood to talk mum."

I opened the door slightly and put my head through. "It's me, I'm here to explain.."

His face dropped.  My smile faded as my eyes looked at the ground before they went back up to him.

Slowly he got off the bed and made the space between us smaller as he stood in front of me. "Go on" were the only words he could spit out.

After telling him what happened sympathy shined in his water glazed eyes. "I'm so sorry" Pulling me into a hug, a tear slipped down my cheek onto his grey t-shirt.  He sat me down on the bed and continued hugging me, making me cry more. "Stop crying baby girl" he whispered into my ear as he rocked me back and forth.

"Scott I'm scared the others wont understand like you.." I pulled back to look into his eyes for answers but nothing came.

"They will understand, I promise" he smiled and kissed the drop of my head. "Wanna stay here tonight?" I nodded before getting up and slipping into his en suite bathroom to wash the tear stains on my face.

"Hey loser, wear this" Scott through a large t-shirt into the en suite for me to sleep in.

"Who's is this?" I examined the shirt as I put it on.

"Stiles, I think" he laughed, "It looks good on you" a sweet brother like smile covered his face.

"Just the perfect size" I joked as the t-shirt just made it to middle of my thigh.

I jumped on the bed and snuggled into the covers and Scott's side, about 10 minutes and I was out cold into a deep sleep, something I really needed and wasn't getting enough of.

--Next Morning--

My eyes slowly opened as the light shined through the blinds.  I moved slightly and felt my best friends hand still around my waist and his head resting just behind me.  "Scott, Scott, Scoooott" I whispered while poking at his hand. "Wake up loser!" I said slightly louder, earning a wolf like growl from him.

"Anna, I thought you knew better than waking me up" he groaned. "What time is it anyway?"

"Sorry, and 7am" I turned so I was facing him. "you have school today" I stated before laughing at the face he made.

"You have school as well remember" I totally forgot I promised him I would start school after the summer holidays. "You can have a shower first"

"Yaah thanks!" I leaped off the bed and stripped before jumping into the steamy hot shower.  I loved being at Scott's, he made me forget everything. After the well needed shower I changed into the jeans I had on the day before and just left Stiles shirt on.

I waited on Scott to get ready before we made our way out the house and walked to school.  It only took us 10 minutes to get there and before we knew it we were walking over to Scott's normal group; Lydia, Stiles, Allison and Isaac.  I started to panic when I saw Isaac, Scott noticed and took my hand lightly squeezing it.

"Wait a second Missy!" Stiles' eyes flickered from my eyes to the shirt. "It looks good on you" I grinned at him before crushing him in a hug.

"I missed you! don't ever go on holiday again!" I felt him nod as he wrapped his arms around my neck.  As I pulled back I realised people walking by stared, great just what I need.

As the bell rang I separated from my friends and walked towards the main office to collect my timetable. "Morning, how may I help you dear?" A older women welcomed me at the reception.

"I'm Anna Hale, I'm new here" I smiled back at her as she nodded and handed my timetable to me.

"Oh Miss Hale, may I ask you a question?" I nodded "Do you have any siblings?" She questioned politely.

"I have a brother, Derek who came here."

"Oh I remember him, you both look like your mother" she nodded as I smiled and continued my way out the door.

I slipped out the door into the empty hallways and look at the timetable, Maths.  I slowly made my way to the room before 2 large boys walked my way.  My senses told me to run but i was to intrigued by there stunning good looks.

One of them looked straight at me while flashing a grin that could kill.  As they passed I began walking again until I heard the footsteps stop, I turned to see them staring at me.  Red glowing eyes burned into my soul.
