Oh great, boys...

After a few hours of being in my new house, I had got through quite a lot of tasks: my hair was washed, dried and styled, I had done my makeup and put on some fresh clothes, I had unpacked, and I was halfway through pinning my old photographs on the huge cork board behind my computer desk. I looked at each one sadly, they were all good memories, it would be hard to wake up every morning seeing my friends back home who I wouldn't see very often, and my parents who, well, I wouldn't see at all.

I heard a door slam closed downstairs and Catalina shouted, "boys!" oh shit, they were here. Then came a boys voice, "Is Cathy here?" he asked. "Katie, K-A-T-I-E!" replied Catalina, spelling my name out, "and yes, she's in her new room".

Suddenly I heard a noise like thunder, which turned out to be 3 pairs of feet running up the stairs. My door swung open and in front of me stood 3 of the most god-like boys I have ever seen in my whole 17 years of life, I gulped back nerves and smiled softly at them as two of them stared at me as if they had just seen a ghost and the other was staring at the photographs on my cork board.

"Hubba hubba" one of the staring creeps said with a grin, his eyes trailing down my body. Oh God, he was a pervert, great. The other boy who had been staring at me slapped him across the shoulder and made a face at him, "shut up Jazz, you'll creep her out". But 'Jazz' ignored him and continued to stare at me.

The one who had been staring at my cork board suddenly spoke "I like your photographs, they're nice, photographs are precious, very precious, they bring memories alive, that's why I like them so much, I'm into photography, maybe I could show you some of my photography some time, unless that would bore you, I don't want to bore you..." he continued to blab on as I smiled and nodded, not knowing what to say, "so anyway" he said, changing subject, "my name's Dylan, he's Jazz or Jasper" he continued, pointing to the pervy one, "and that" he said nodding to the other one, "is Alex, they're twins".

If he hadn't said that, and if Catalina hadn't mentioned having twins, I honestly wouldn't have realised they were. They looked so different: Alex had jet black hair and lightly tanned skin, he was wearing loose skinny jeans and a dark green hoody with vans, while Jasper had brown messy hair, tanned skin and had a sort of indie style going on. One thing they had in common was that they were both incredibly hot.

Dylan looked like the typical type, blonde hair, really tanned skin and blue eyes. His voice was sort of girly and he had a kind of camp edge to him. Catalina had mentioned him being gay, but I personally found no fault in that. It didn't make a difference to him at all, from what I could tell he was a very friendly person. I already liked him.

After we had all made small talk, we went downstairs and ate with Catalina and her husband, Joseph. It wasn't awkward, the boys talked amongst themselves and Joseph talked to Catalina and I ate, every so often looking up to find Jasper sneaking a glance at me. Weird.

After dinner I was lounging on my bed holding my laptop as I browsed the internet, when somebody knocked on the door, I got up and opened it to see Alex smiling. "Can I come in?" he asked, I nodded and let him past me.

"I was just wondering if you were okay, my mom told us everything about your..." he paused and looked me in the eyes, "...your parents" he continued "and I know it must be hard and I just want you to know that if you ever need to talk about anything, I'm here..." he smiled at me then walked out of the door.

Well, one thing I've learned already, Alex Drew is full of surprises.

After he left I just shrugged to myself and smiled a little, I had tears in my eyes due to his mentioning of my parents, but it was okay, he wasn't trying to hurt me, he was trying to be nice.

I pinned up the last of my photographs, filling up the cork board apart from one gap, I was one photograph short. I sighed and scanned the board for a few seconds, before opening a drawer and changing into my pyjamas, it was late and I was tired. After brushing my teeth and caring for my skin, I got into bed and cried myself to sleep for what felt like the 100th time in a row.

I woke up the next day with a relaxed feeling, I snuggled into my duvet a little more and ignored the shouts coming from elsewhere. I dipped my head further into the warm, fluffy pillow and let myself sink into the bouncy matress. Suddenly my eyes shot open, "shit" I gasped, it was Monday, which meant only one thing... school. Oh God no, I really couldn't be bothered. I listened more intentley to the shouting and realised what was being called out was my name, along with the tragic sentence which was, "wake up". I groaned and looked around the room for something to do, I was way to lazy to get out of bed at that time. As the shouting continued, I eventually rolled off of the bed and dragged myself into the bathroom which was connected to my new room. I splashed my face with freezing cold water and gasped slightly in shock from the temperature, but at least it had woke me up well. I used a baby wipe to wash my skin and I added some tinted moisturiser, following that with lipbalm and a few lashings of mascara. I had washed the night before, but I stripped out of my pyjamas and ran a wet towel over my body anyways, just so I could feel clean and fresh. I brushed through the snarls in my hair and left it looking simple and tousled.

After pulling on some dark denim skinny jeans, a plain white top and a Hollister zip-up hoodie, I went downstairs. Everybody was eating breakfast and there was only one spare seat with a plate in front of it. There was a mug of coffee beside it and the plate was full of fruit, with a bowl of yoghurt in the middle. I sat down in the seat and smiled at each person that looked up at me, I ate in an awkward silence, when I was finished, I thanked 'whoever set this breakfast out for me' and after no reply but a few more smiles, I went upstairs and brushed my teeth, re-applying my lipbalm.

The day ahead was going to be interesting, I was so nervous, and I felt so alone all of a sudden. I only lived with the guys but i barely knew them which meant I didn't know anybody at this new school, I didn't even for certain know the name of it, although I recalled something about 'Lincoln High' or was it something else? I shrugged to myself and chewed down on my lip feeling nervous.

Not long later and I was getting out of the boys' car which was parked in the school car park, suddenly a flood of girls all stood around Jasper and Alex, and a very shy and nerdy looking girl stood next to Dylan. Oh great, so the twins were those kind of people. I sighed to myself and walked off to find my first class, which turned out to be mathematics, oh jolly! That was sarcastic if I must add.

The day dragged on and I had so far talked to about 3 people properly, at dinner I sat with two girls, Lina and Charlot, and Charlot's boyfriend, Oliver.

By the time I was back at the Drews' home that evening, I was worn out and not functioning properly, so I showered, did my homework, ate, and fell asleep to the sound of 3 very loud boys arguing over who got first turn on their xbox.
