The two boys walked down the sidewalk. They passed by the rows of houses lining the street. The clouds were still a light gray, not yet threatening to spill their contents. The air was chilly, and Iwaizumi pulled his jacket tighter over his chest.

Oikawa broke the silence.

"So have you decided where you want to go?" He asked.

Iwaizumi shook his head.

"How about we go to the mall?" Oikawa asked. "We can invite the team."

Iwaizumi looked at his feet.

Oikawa nudged him with his elbow, saying,"We can all hang out. Just like we used to."

This made Iwaizumi smile.

"Yeah," He said. "I'd like that."

"Okay, then. I'll call them and see who can come."

"So, Watari is unavailable and Kentaro won't pick up his phone, but everyone else said they could come. They're gonna meet us there."

"Of course Kyotani won't pick up. That's so like him," Iwaizumi muttered.

"You wanna try calling him?"

Iwaizumi grimaced. "I don't need a slump like him ruining my day."

Oikawa burst into laugher.

"Oikawa, please, I'm being serious," Iwaizumi scolded him.

"Okay, okay, Iwa-chan."

Oikawa lightly slapped his cheeks.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Yep."

The teenagers arrived at the shopping center as soon as it started to rain. They scrambled under the overhang in the front of the large building.

"We got lucky, huh?" Iwaizumi commented. But Oikawa wasn't listening.

"They said it was going to rain at two," He scoffed. "It's only one-thirty. What is this garbage?"

He started to yell at the sky. "Two o'clock you big watering cans! Not one-thirty! You're lucky I didn't get wet! Wouldn't want all Hell to break loose, now would we?"

Iwaizumi flicked his forehead.

"People are staring, you trash can. Shut up."

Oikawa frowned.

"That hurt! So mean, Iwa-chan," He pouted.

"You're lucky I didn't kick your ass to Dubuque."

"Dubuque? What's that?"

"Never mind. It's a book reference."

Iwaizumi sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Oikawa?"

"Yes?"

"Shut up."

The Aoba Johsai volleyball team slowly trickled into the shopping center. Yahaba arrived first, seeing as his mom had dropped him off. Makki walked towards the front where the team was meeting, accompanied by Matsukawa who happened to enter at the same time. Kindaichi and Kunimi came last.

Matsun cracked a smile.

"We haven't gotten together like this in a while, have we?"

"No, we haven't," Yahaba confirmed.
