Ebonys P.O.V.
I pulled into the parking lot of the plaza finding the closest parking spot available. Their had never been this many cars in this plaza at one time. Their where big army trucks in the lot and pulled up on the side walk. I seen two Air Force helicopters on top of the buildings and lots of men and women of all different races.
"Damn" I said to myself, not expecting this many people to be here today. I took my shades off and adjusted my hat. "Mph mph mph" I licked my lips.
"Girl you sure is fine" I check myself out in my front mirror, making sure I didn't look horrible knowing I was dressed compatibly basic.
"Women this way left
Men this way right" A big sign read hanging above the buildings attached to the helicopters . I stepped out of my car clicking the lock button. I headed right towards the army information office.
"Ms. Johnson" a familiar voice said from behind me as I was walking through the doors.
"I was wondering when you where going to stop by" I turned around to see Sargent Phillips, the man that worked all of the missing cases.
" Sarge, yes I had to make my way by, what's going on out there?" I asked, looking towards the door. "Oh, we just brought our soldiers home from Afghanistan, and are preparing for their graduation later tonight." He smiled from ear to ear, as if he was proud of them. Sargent Phillips was an older black man with a shiny bold head and a bushy mustache, which caused him to look very funny when he smiled.
"Oh Okay, that's nice. You must be proud." I smiled, seeming interested, yet could care less. He shook his head. " So did you find anything yet? " I already knew his answer but I had to ask. " unfortunately no, but I am going t.." With one hand in my hip and one directly up to his face, feeling a drop of spit connect with my palm, I cut him off.
" to call the U.S base of where he was last seen and see if they have anything, then I'll run what ever they have through our data base system to blah blah blah, with due all respect Sargent Phillips , you can stop right there, now you've been feeding me that bogus ass line since the first day I waked in this mother fucking office!"
I raised the tone, just a notch. Shifting my weight from one leg to the other. To say that I was upset or rather angry would be an underestimate, I was vexed, I was perplexed. "Sargent Phillips, you don't have enough sympathy to get off your lazy ass and find anything on my daddy. After I have been coming here for your help for years and to tell me you found nothing to resite this fixed line that you say every time I come here." My eyes where becoming shield with tears and my voice was becoming a bit weak. Sarge looked stunned. " Breath Ebony, Breath" I stopped myself before going any further. " Ebony I- I truly a.." He stuttered. " Ah, uh" I cut him off again. " Save it, I'm done. Just forget my father over in some foreign country n let him rot. I'm done trying." I turned to walk away wiping the tears that had escaped my eyes.
Wham ! I ran right into a brick wall.
" Oh, ma'am excuse me " what, a wall that's talking!?! I'm really loosing it.
"Huh?" I looked up. There was a dark chocolate, scrumptious, beautiful black man standing in front of me.
"I'm s-sorry, my fault" I was mesmerized, stuck and stunned. I proceeded walk around him but he seemed so big at the moment blocking the door way.
" No harm, no foul" he said, extending his right hand out to me. "Kevin" he smiled. He had gorgeous whites. "Ebony" I took his hand into mine. "Nice to meet you, where you headed?" He seemed interested.I didn't feel like entertaining him. "Ha, I'm actually heading to go and see my man, and child." I giggled, lying straight through my teeth. "Man, and child?" He questioned. " Yes, my family, I'm sure you are going to have plenty here watching you tonight" my voice was still a little on the edge. " But please excuse me I'm going to be late" I pushed past him and headed to my car. " it was nice meeting you" the voice was cut if my the closing of the office door. Click Click. I unlocked my car and got inside.
After hours of running around taking care of business I had return home only to find my Nesha and Elijah gone.
"Eb, took Lijah to the park, be back soon. Love you, Nesha!" A note was taped to my bedroom door. Shit I was happy to have the house to myself for once. I took the note down and sat it on my dresser, turning my tv on. As I got comfortable under my sheets a thought of Elijah ran through my mind. I missed my man, I missed every thing about him; from the way he got me high, the deepness of his voice, the hair on his chin, the waves in his head, his dark eyes and natural fleeked brows, the tattoos on his body, to his abusive ways, all of his mistakes. I missed my man from top to bottom, and oh my gawd I missed the sex, I need my daddy. I haven't had my pussy touched in over a year. I had Elijah on punishment from my pussy before he got locked up, I wasn't giving him no sexual attention. Exactly why he was at his mothers. Probably sneaking hoes over there too. I've been holding him down since he's been in gone, but if he don't pass this bail hearing then i don't know how long my box is going to hold . Getting out my thoughts I reached into the nightstand connected to my bed and grabbed a fully rolled blunt. Smirking. "You always calm me down especially when I'm wet like this" I said, sparking up as I felt my cat begin to release her tears.
