Loud bangs echoed and I saw that Mommy was very upset. She wandered the kitchen nervously, moving things around.
"When's Daddy coming home? He's been gone a while." I couldn't help but ask, but when I did, I heard another bang. Mommy moved more nervously and whiped off her hands on her old apron, then she patted my arm lightly.
"How about you go play in the living room, honey?" She gently turned me towards the living room and gave me a nudge. I drug my feet to my room and grabbed my favorite toy bulldozer to play with when I heard a loud THUD come from the other room.
"Mommy?" I ran to the kitchen door quickly. A form was crouched overtop of her, smelling of a horrid stench and equally as horrid looking. A crimson liquid surrounded both the creature and Mommy on the tiled floor, revealing a reflection of the being. Flesh hung from it's face, blood covered it's entire front side, and sharp teeth protruded from it's gums. It saw my reflection as well, with it's lustful black voids for eyes. I stepped back, frozen and unable to scream. It turned to me, baring it's blood-stained teeth. The distance between us slowly decreased as the creature inched towards me. A jump was all it took. It was ontop of me.
I heard more bangs and a deafening screech, but I was feeling too sleepy to realize what happened. The weight on my body was removed and I heard a man's voice above me.
"Guys, we have a survivor!"
Did that mean Mommy was dead?
