Why

I sit waiting for him to speak. He stares distantly at the carpeted floor as he begins.

"Its a long story, but Ill make it as short as possible then you can ask questions..." He starts as continues before I can speak.

"It started with our gradparents. My gradfatber and your gradmother to be exact. They where both in love. They had everything the could of ever wanted...until they were forbidden. My gradfather, or Harlen couldnt stay away from your gradmother Gabby. The snuck around every night almost to see each ither. They couldnt be seperated. That was untill the unthinkable happened. There parents found out and desided them neing so close was unhealthy. My gradfather moved and s did you grafmother. Both oppiste directions. Bith where heartbroken. They would send eachother messages and gift from places that they never exspected the other would be." He says looking up at me. I could feel my confuzed exspression.

"It will make sence in the end love." He says.

"Alicia." I correct. He sighs continueing.

"The gifts that Harlen sent Gabby is what you have and The one thing that never seperated them was that key around you kneck. Harlen sent it to Gabby. The key only unlocking one thing. He never told Gabby exactly what it was that it unlocked. He only told her things that might help us today. I remember most of them.

"He said at first "This is the key to everything I have to give you. My heart soul lust friendship attention and everything that you use to desribe love." He also had many others but they all lead to that. There isnt much more." He says playing with the key on my kneck now.

"How your involved...and me?" I say and he snaps back to reality.

"Oh yeah! Sorry...Ill finish."

"Soon they had to give up. My gradfather marrying my gradmother and your gradmother marrying your gradfather. They never told there spouses. They kept hold of everything. Keeping everything inside. Are parents know though. They Were told to tell us. That didnt work. I found out by my grandfather right before he died. I was told everything he could remember. Given everything that was connected and was told my miasion. You on the other hand. Your in the dark with a peep of sunlight to guide your way." He exsplains. I was still curious though.

"What is your mission?" I asked.

"To guide, help you in anyway. To solve the mystery of the past that our grandparents could not. Why they were forbidden and why it was so wrong. There has to be a reason this is important." He exsplains slowly.

"Why do we have to see secretive though?" I say confuzed.

"The mystery might be old but there are still people that will hurt you for it. And the deeper on we get the stronger the chance of getting hurt." Niall leans in and whispers the last part in my ear sending a shivver down my spine.

He backs up smirking."I really dont want this!" I say groaning standing up.

"Want what?" He says confuzed.

"Any of this! I want a normal life! One where when theres drama its teenage girl drama not life threatening drama!"

"It gets normal. Dont worry. Ive been waiting for 4 years for you to get that box. So Ive had plently of practice. Why do you think I luve in the middle of nowhere?" He says in humor torge the end.

"Im going home." I say tiredly walking to the door. He stops me.

"Now that you know your not safe. Didnt you feel unsafe at your house. You did say that. So why are you going back?"

"Well then where DO I go?!" I say agervated.

"Stay here. Take my room." He says pointing that direction.

"Ill take the couch." I say shaking my head to keep away the thoughts. I curl up taking a pillow and a blanket.

I start to sleep. Thanking about what Niall told me. No wonder he is so secretive. Its that or die! As I pass out only have awake not able to open my eyes.

I feel Niall pick me up and pack me to his bed. He never takes no for an answer! I wonder if thats a good thing or bad thing. I slowly fall asleep in hos arms.
