The Sport That Started it All

Wait, Yumi Can't play in the Game?

 Ever since the day Yumi transferred Yumi has been working harder than ever. "Hey Yumi want to come to the mall after school?" a random person asked Yumi. Yumi simply turned  around and left, "honestly I need to practice baseball, not go to random unnecessary places like the mall." Yumi whispered to herself. "Honestly where's that personality changing idiot now?" Yumi thought walking home. Yumi turned the corner to find herself in front of her home "shoot I went to far" Yumi said turning to go back to school. "Hello Yumiko" a voice said behind her. "shoot run!" Yumi said running towards school with a man chasing her. "Help!" Yumi shouted running towards school. Running towards the baseball field. "Wait Yumiko you still have to be with me!" the man shouted running towards Yumi. "No I don't, Jerk!" Yumi shouted seeing the baseball team. "ah ha!" Yumi said hiding behind Raichi. "Defend me!" Yumi said pushing Raichi towards the man. That's when Yumi realized how shy Raichi was. "Please?" Yumi whispered to Raichi. Raichi was blushing hard right now. "um okay" Raichi said barely audible. Yumi smiled, "Just stand in front of me" Yumi said hugging Raichi from behind. Then everything went black. 

(Time Skip )

"-chi, Raichi?" Raichi woke up to Yumi's voice. "Are you okay? you just fainted!" Yumi asked concern clear in her voice. "Are you sure you're okay? You look like you have a fever. Yumi asked checking Raichi's forehead. "Ah! You're burning up! Uh uh, Water!" Yumi yells panicking. Raichi then grabs Yumi's hand and pulls himself up. "Gahahahahaha, I'm fine!" Raichi said getting back to his normal attitude. *sigh* "Raichi you're a real handful" Yumi said chuckling a bit. This was surprising for Raichi because this was the first time he had ever heard her laugh. Raichi slightly got up then imminently got pushed back down. "No, You're going to rest in the nurses' office" Yumi said sternly, picking Raichi up like he was a little child. (bet you'd like to see that right?) Raichi immediately stood up when they got to the halls but still felt a bit lightheaded.

(At the Nurses')

As Raichi laid down, Yumi smiled and left to go to class. Raichi, left alone thought about baseball "The game for the West Tokyo Tournament starts in a month, so I shouldn't be in here I should be practicing!" Raichi thinks getting up. Just then Yumi comes in with the baseball team. "Raichi" Yumi said in a threatening tone, "Didn't I tell you not to get up?" (oh snap) Yumi then mutters some thing turns around and leaves, leaving Raichi and his baseball team. "so are you okay? I heard you passed out" Sanada finally asks Raichi breaking the silence. "Gahahaha I'm fine!" Raichi yells. "Are you sure Yumi said you were really red" Mishima asks Raichi completely oblivious to what that meant. Raichi by then was very red. Sanada then pats Raichi on the back. "I don't think she noticed you're in the clear" Sanada says clearly holding back a laugh. 

(Meanwhile)

Yumi smiles at the coach "oh, I see is it only for the prelims?" Yumi asks. "Yes, I'm sorry" The coach says but Yumi just smiles and walks away.

(After School)

Yumi sits on the roof, "this sure brings back memories don't it?" Yumi asks the student beside her. "Well I guess but do you really want to do elementary school again Yumi - chan" The student answers. "Well I suppose not Hoshi" Yumi smiles "So how's Karasuno?" Yumi asks. "Well I suppose it's interesting but it's not fun without you!" Hoshi whimpers. "You know I'm only doing this because I have too" Yumi smiles, "and plus I hear you're dating someone! Who who?" Yumi pesters. Raichi, who was listening to their conversation was kinda surprised. "it's guy named -" Hoshi gets cut off "oh shoot we need to go!" Hoshi yells pulling Yumi through the hallways. "do you want to come to Karasuno next time?" Hoshi asks Yumi. "sure" Yumi answered giving off a rare soft smile. *click* a camera sounded. "someone's following us" Yumi says quickly. "oh well" Hoshi says quickly pulling Yumi with her. Raichi watched as Yumi and Hoshi were being followed, pain filled his eyes as he got to baseball practice. 

"Welcome, to Karasuno!" Hoshi says bursting into the gym where a volleyball team was playing. Yumi flushed red. "big. crowd" Yumi said feeling small.
