Theatre creeper

I know it might be creepy to watch people from a far. I can't help it though. I sat at the back of the theatre and watched the drama club while they were doing some skits. I had cross practice in a half an hour and I have nothing better to do. So instead of walking around the school aimlessly I decided to watch them do their scenes. I'm not being a creep I swear. I just think that they are beautiful and I'm to much of a dweeb to talk to them. So instead I just sit here and watch as they do a comedy skit. I watch as an amazing smile breaks across their face during a particularly funny line and it makes me smile a bit.

"Hey D are you just going to sit here and stare at your little crush or are you going to come to practice," I shove Mike a bit when he sits down next to me.

"I don't have a little crush on Dylan," I mumble this out and he looks at me like I have a third eye.

"Oh you're right, you have a huge crush on them," I glare at Mike.

"Okay maybe I do but it's not like they are going to notice me. They are beautiful and amazing and I'm... me." I say the last part as I gesture to myself.

"Keep your head up Dakota, you are great and they'd be happy to have you." I let out a sigh and gave Mike an unbelieving look. Mike sat there with me for a while as I watched Dylan preform on the stage. Suddenly I speak to Mike.

"What if I try out of the play?" Mike sits there thoughtfully for a while then answers me.

"I don't see why not. You do plays at Siena Heights right?" I nod my head at him, "Well then there you go. Just try out and see what happens. Plus, more time with Dylan." Mike winks at me then tells me that we need to get to our last Cross Country practice.

I get done with the last sprint and I lean on the fence for support. Coach was working us hard today because some dillweed left his clothes all over the locker room. I throw my shirt over my shoulder and put my hands on top of my head in an attempt to breath like a normal person. When I look around for a water fountain I notice Dylan is up by the school and I think they are looking at me. I look for a bit longer but they notice me staring and look away. I think they blushed too, before they looked away. I try not to think too much of it as I walk into the locker room.  I jumped in a shower stall real quick and rinse off so I don't stink. When I get out I throw on my binder and a pair of ripped up jeans. However, when I look for my shirt I can't find it anywhere or my shoes. It's weird. I look all around for them. It's when I look at the top of the lockers that I see them. They're on top of the lockers with a sheet of paper on top of them. I have to jump to reach them and take them down. I quickly put on my shirt and push the sleeves up to my elbow. Then I look at the note. It has "Dyke" scrawled across it. I crumple it up and toss it into the trash can next to the lockers. I pull on my converse and throw my bag over my shoulder. I'm out the door of the locker room before I can think too much of it.

Dylan is sitting outside of the school still. The Drama Club meeting ended an hour and a half ago so I wonder if they don't have a ride. They keep checking their phone and looking around at the parked cars. I decide to go talk to them.

"Do you have a ride?" My voice is kinda shaking as I ask this. I've only talked to Dylan twice. Once was to ask for a pencil and the other was for a small project we worked on together in class.

"What? Oh, um, I don't know. My sister was supposed to pick me up but she should have been here by now."

"I'll wait here with you if you'd like." Dylan smiled a bit and looked down.

"Wow such a gentleman. I would like that."  I took a seat next to them on the bench and set my bag down on the ground next to it.

"I try I really do. If someone doesn't come get you in 20 minutes though you should let me take you home."  Dylan started to twist the ring on their finger.
