*Chapter 2*
I sat quietly for several hours in the closet. Currently Jason's big ass head was causing my arm to become sore. Slowly opening the closet door, I listened intently to see if my dad was anywhere. Picking up Jason and carrying him over to his room, just to see my father had thrown down all the pictures in the hallway. Stepping over the glass, I slipped into Jason's bedroom and set him on his bed. As I started walking out his bedroom, I heard his voice break me from my thoughts.

"Jade..." I turned biting my lip softly as he began to sit up and rub his eyes, "When will dad be like Ryan's dad..."

I frowned at his question knowing he never got to see how our dad was before all the drugs screwed up his head, "Squirt..." I thought for a second of what to say next before I heard the front door open, finally mom was home. "Why don't we go say hi to mom!" I smiled and looked at Jason as he started to run, but I quickly grabbed him remembering the glass out in the hallway.

I pulled him up as I started to hear my mom shout for us to come downstairs. As I stepped over the glass and carried Jas down the stairs. I began to think was there any time that my father hadn't even been on any type of drugs, like seriously...

When I reached the living room where my mom sat holding up mail, most likely over due bills. Slowly setting Jas down on the ground as he ran over and sat on my moms lap, I sat down on the floor looking at her.

'How does she do it...' I thought quietly biting my lip, 'All of this stress and working countless hours... It's so much... Having an husband who does nothing for his family....'

"Jade!!!" My mother whisper shouted at me as I looked up, "Someone's knocking at the door can you go get it. I have to go clean the mess your father made." She said with an huff as Jas went following behind her.

I took my sweet time as I made my way over the door because whoever was currently knocking was knocking like the police.

"Yes??" I said as I opened the door to be greeted by an amazingly handsome stranger. I mean damn that jawline and gosh the eyes. Focus Jade....

He looked at me up and down, slowly licking his lips, "Is Victor here?" The man's voice broke the awkward silence

"Um, mydadscurrentlyout..." I mumbled quickly as I looked away biting my lip

He chuckled as he listened to me, "Well your dad owes me money princess. I plan on getting it so can I come in?"

"Sorry, I don't let strangers in my house. Especially dirty dan types." I smiled brightly as I quoted Spongebob

"Well it's your lucky day, I'm not the dirty dan type.." He smirked and looked down, "Just tell your father that Bryan came by..." I nodded my quietly

"Unless you want me to stay..." He laughed awkwardly after we had been staring at each other for a few minutes.

"Um, yeah come on in..." I open the door and watched as he slipped past me. He smelt like mint and all I wanted to do was kiss him. Oh, gosh I don't even know this man... What am I getting myself into...
