She walked through trees and overgrowth, looking for a way back to her group. A smallish dog padded beside her, keeping its eyes and ears pricked for any hint to where the others were. The sky slowly turned a starry blue through the canvas of the trees.

Raye had gotten lost during a scouting mission once before, but she was near the village and able to return and wait. She always had a sort of determination to go Adventuring, and she loved to explore. She didn't know why she was like this, she just.. Was.

Eventually, her and her dog came to a large clearing, and in the center of it was a deep hole. Raye went to the edge of the hole and peered down. It was extremely dark, but at the bottom she could see a small patch of what looked like golden flowers. She leaned in a slight bit closer, when the loose ground supporting her gave way, and she fell to the darkness below.

~O.o.O~

Raye looked back up through the darkness, rubbing her head. The golden flowers had broken her fall, and now she seemed to be in a cave of sorts. There was a large purple door on the side of the cave that faced the innards of the mountain. At the mouth of the edge stood her dog, silhouetted against the rising moon. "Cecelia! Stay there, I'm going to see if I can climb back up!" Raye called out to her companion.

She looked around at the stone walls, and started feeling to see if she could find a foothold or something. Nothing. Crud.. She thought as she scanned the gray, smooth walls. She walked back to the flowers and looked up. "Cece, go back to the village and see if you can get help!" She instructed the dog. It didn't move. "Um.. Okay, Cece, darling, I'm going to have you jump. Aim for me or the flowers, and do be careful!" She yelled.

The dog looked a bit scared, then she backed up and flung herself into the hole. Luckily, Cece landed in the flowers, and stood up, slightly shaken, but otherwise perfectly fine. "Okay. There's a door right there, and it seems it's the only way out of here.. So.. I guess we go through it." She faced the door. "Ready, girl?" The dog stared back at her with her big brown eyes. "Yeah.. Me neither." And they were off into the unknown.

//Hi, everyone! Sorry for the short chapter but this is but the prologue to the story. If you want to hear what happened to the scouts after Raye got lost, go read Hamster4 's book The Girl Who Lived. It explains a lot more in depth to what happened, and she's just a really cool author. Welp. Next chapter coming soon! ((If I don't procrastinate.. Again.. That is)). Goodbye, darlings!//
