I walk up the driveway, feeling like the center of attention everyone is looking at me like who's the new girl? It was my first day on the team and I had only met 3 girls before today. I didn't really know what to expect. I quickly give my mom the wave of approval telling her she can leave now, and run towards coach Lee. As I place my stick carefully against the garage door Faith my former softball teammate introduces me to everyone. I say hi, but very shyly. Although normally I would not be this way meeting 12 new girls who have no clue who I am freaked me out a little. I notice that I will be in a group with Kaci, Sam, Bini, and Kara. So, we quickly rush over to the station I was being very careful not to drop anything. Suddenly, everything picks it's pace up and we are running around the yard doing exercises that I didn't even know existed. Bruin, Faiths dog starts barking at us because he's not quite sure what to think of everything that is going on. Mrs. Mancini yells " Bruin" and he returns to laying down in the freshly cut grass. Finally I hear "switch" and run to the next station. Since I wasn't really sure where to go I followed everyone else but, turns out I was following Mack, Heather, Sydney, and Lily. I run down the hill as fast as I can without face planting and grab my stick to start shooting. " agh why do I suck at shooting so much" I say under my breath so nobody can hear, even though I know that everybody did I just ignore it and keep on shooting. I find a way to lift one of the pucks off of the ground and feel some what accomplished but then I look over at Kaci who keeps hitting bar down and top shelf and know that there is a great reason that I play goalie. "Ok everyone needs to bring in something if the want pizza" coach yells as loud as he could. My mind immediately goes PIZZA🤑 and race around like a maniac picking up cones. I race into the house, plop the cones right down, wash my hands and I am off to the pizza I was determined to get the end piece even if it's the last thing I did.
