Being in my tiny cubicle for the past 8 hours makes me want to throw up. All this stuffy hot air gets to everyone and makes the atmosphere in the room more tense than it is. Cramming to finish before the deadline, going to interviews, having to go on wild goose hunts just to get something down for your article. Let me tell you...it's harder than you think. And just when I finally finish my latest article about the plans about the president's project, I get another assignment from the editor-in-chief

"Y/N...For this next coming up magazine, you'll be doing a full coverage feature on this world champion kendo player named Shintaro Yoshioka"

"But, Mr. Shii...you promised me that I could have a break after my other work peice that I handed in"

I looked up at him with a pout on my face, hearing him chuckle which made me surprised since, my editor-in-chief never chuckles over such things. He probably saw my weirded out face since his tone went back to the scary mean boss type, which in my case, was normal.

"So you'll be going to the Dojo 40 minutes away, Shintaro's Father; Tadashi Yoshioka owns and runs the place, you should be able to find Shintaro there and try to convince him to do the article. If all else fails, then I'll give you a different assignment, understand? Oh! And you shall be coming with to an important brunch involving the president"

I sigh loudly before giving him a small yes with a nod, packing up my stuff as I grab my phone, wanting to head home, for I'll be having a big day of running around town tomorrow.

Heading out of the company building, I walk to the train station to catch the upcoming train. Fast walking as I wait before heading on, looking around as I find a seat, smiling slightly before sitting down.

"I'm just going to take a nice warm bath and head to bed. I have to wake up early as well..."
I mumble to myself as I wait for the train to arrive at my destination. Looking around to see a lot of highschoolers as one of them points to me, scoffing as I stand up to leave once the train halts at my stop.

I flip down in my bed as I look around tiredly, going on my phone to check if there's anything new in the media. Sighing loudly, only to see love scandals and soon turns my phone off, sitting up to turn off the lamp as my fingers barely touch the little green knob attatched to my Totoro lamp. Successfully turning it off and lays down comfortably.

"Tomorrow is a new day, new assignment, and a new opportunity. I also have to go to this Dojo after...great. I did do Kendo when I was younger, but that's a long time ago! I have no interest in it now.."

I stared up at the ceiling, feeling drowsy as I yawn out loud, smacking my lips together before I soon fall asleep while holding onto my alpaca doll.

Looking around the venue area, Mr. Shii tells me to go and explore; because, apparently, me sticking by his side all day makes me look like his neice which makes him an old man. I groaned as I walk out of the fancy glass room, heading for the stairs.

"WATCH OUT!!!"

I turn my head towards the direction of the loud voice, seeing a man in a worn out black coat running straight for me. My mind kept telling me to move out of the way, but my body wouldn't listen. I soon fell down the stairs one by one as the man zoomed past me, nudging me in the process as I sprain my ankle, holding onto it with tears welling in my eyes as I turn attention to the man who charged at me, seeing him get pinned down by two bodygaurds as they take the man out.

"Are you hurt? Do you need any help?"

I look up to see who the voice belonged to when my eyes widened to see a black haired man dressed in a tux, gazing up at him as he speaks to another bodyguard, staring at his features as he helps me up, carrying me to a chair as I snap back to my senses.

"U-Um...you didn't really have to do this. I could have taken care of myself.."
I say quietly as he examines my ankle.

"It's slightly swollen, put ice on it once you get home"

The way he talks to me is so gentle and loving, shaking my head slightly to snap out of this zoned out me before opening my mouth to speak up.

"T-Thanks...I didn't no-"

I soon get interrupted as he stand up, his toned figure standing in front of me as he quickly talks to some other bodyguards before turning to me.

"The conference is over, you should be heading home...it's not safe right now."

I soon see people being evacuated as he heads towards the president, escorting him to the limo as my mouth hangs open, wanting to ask him for his name as my editor-in-chief stands infront of me, helping me to my feet as I stumble.

"Hmph..I was expecting to get more information about the president, but they want us all gone since something happened in the back room. Well, at least I can mention this in the media. Interruption at a conference! Does that sound good? Or! The man in black! Or!..."

I soon zone out as my editor-in-chief catches us a cab, sighing as I keep replaying the scene in my head of the bodygaurd helping me. Mumbling quietly to myself as my boss keeps rambling on about the what happened at the conference.

"Hmm...who is he?"

Well..I know it's not good, and I'm new to this. But I hope you like it~! And it's not exactly like the official game since it's also a mix of my version. But...maybe it's okay? I don't know?
