Drowsy

The next day at practice wasn't as hard as when I started. Tadashi -Shintaro's father- even complimented that I was improving. I felt like I was improving as well for someone who hasn't done it for so long. Miyuki and me still had an uneasy relationship between us but all in all she wasn't as mean to me. It probably seems childish that I'm taking a highschoolers words seriously, but if I want to be respected in this dojo I might as well spare some of my patience with her.

"HYAH!"

I turned my gaze to the sound as Shintaro gave his battle cry as he and his father had a competition between them. Staring at Shintaro made me feel as if I was hypnotized. He was just so Charismatic..

"Um..Y/N. You're not focusing again! If you want to improve you might as well focus on practice."

Miyuki scoffed and I just playfully rolled my eyes. When we did have break, Miyuki and Shintaro were chatting to each other. I felt left out knowing Shintaro was able to have a normal conversation with her than he is to me.

Shintaro also smiled a lot at her and it made me feel jealous. He has never smiledat me once ever since I joined. WHAT AM I THINKING?! It's as if I fell in love with him! But still..he seems so happy with her.

"Why the long face?"

I looked up only to see Tadashi. I quickly bowed to apologize as he smiled brightly to me.

"Y/N...if you'd like, all the adults at the dojo will be staying for a dinner with alcohol. I got some great alcohol from a friend and we would like you to stay. I don'tknow if you like drinking though.."

I smiled happily at Mr. Yoshioka's invitation since I love to drink. Although all my friends say that I'm a light drinker, I still love alcohol.

"If it's alright with you, then I guess I could stay~"

I was wearing my normal casual clothes as we all headed to Tadashi and Shintaro's house. It also felt strange since I was the only girl legal to drink in the dojo. Miyuki couldn't come for dinner because she had homework, but thag made me less stressed since I knew she would just stare at me the whole time.

As we entered Tadashi's house, I saw a lot of his wedding pictures with his wife. She looked beautiful, I wonder where she is. She's never around the dojo. I continued to examine the photos as Shintaro came up behind me.

"My mom died when I was born. But you can tell that my mom and dad loved each other a lot"

After hearing this my heart just sunk. I turned to look at Shintaro sadly as he walked away and didn't spare me a glance. Sighing loudly, I headed to the table as I properly sat down on one of the cushions.

"Thank you for the food~."

I smiled happily before letting the eldest take the first bite as everyone else ate after that. I chewed onto the food slowly as everything around me felt awkwardly since I was the only girl.

Guy1: "Y/N! Come and take a shot! The alcohol is good!"

Guy2: "Yeah! I agree!"

I hesitated before bowing my head, taking the shot in my hands before taking it in one swift drink. MAN! That alcohol is good! I continued to take 2 more shots before the effects started to happen. I realized I barely ate any food so I had drunk on an empty stomach.

"Woah, Y/N let's get you some fresh air, you look dizzy. Excuse us."
I got pulled up by the arm by Jean. Rubbing at my eyes didn't help and I didn't really want to go with Jean, but Idid need fresh air.

Jean sat us down in the veranda with all the flowers, I smiled drunkily at him as he moved his face closer to mine.

"Drunk girls are so sexy..."

"Jean...you think every girl is sexy"
I rubbed at my neck while doing so as he licked his lips from my point of view.

"No..just the girl that I like is Sexy.."

Jean scooted closer to me as I tried to push away, he kept leaning forward as I leaned backwards to widen the gap between us, but I couldn't escape. His lips were about to touch mine but...

"JEAN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"Awwwe...you ruined the moment."
Jean let go of me as Shintaro helped me up while holding me against his chest. His chest was wider than I thought, and he was very fit and muscular. My heart started pounding loudly in my chest as I blushed and looked down as Jean and Shintaro argued.

"Awwe, C'mon shintaro. We were only going to have some fun! Now why is Shintaro mad~?"

"You should focus on practicing and don't do such stupid things! That's why I'm mad!"

"Ahh...but it seems like you got fired up for another reason"
As Jean says this, Shintaro and I become speechless at what Jean said. And with that Jean went back in to finish his food.

"Ah..."
Shintaro pulled away from me and I wondered why. I tried to think and quickly blushed as he looked down. We were just embracing in each others arms. I sat back down to hide my embarrassment as Shintaro sat by me, but he was still far away.

"You shouldn'tmake yourself so vulnerable like that..."

At this point I was in the stage where everything I said was the truth.

"But I liked drinking..."
I must have been pouting cutely as Shintaro blushed again.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Mmm~.."

"Did you join the Dojo only because of the feature?"
Shintaro furrowed his eyebrows as I smiled up at him, scooting closer.

"Well..that's one reason. But the other was because I'mI'm really interested in you. You seem like a wonderful guy~"

I smiled cheekily as we quickly went silent. I could see Shintaro twiddling his fingers in the corner of my eye.

"Do you want to stay over the night?"
