Steve Rogers POV

"Avengers, there has been a strange report of a riot down near the river. I want you guys to stop it." I hear Fury say. I wondor what this is about. "Uh, Fury, um, what makes it so strange? " Tony asks. "Well Stark, some people say that it's a fist fight between some cheerleaders and a couple of teens, while others say that it's two teens attacking a bunch of vampires with a sword and a dagger. Now go!"

When we got there we couldn't believe our eyes. A boy and girl were fighting a bunch of demon cheerleaders with a sword and dagger. They couldn't have been more than 17. Then one of the demons spoke. "You killed Kellie, our leader. So you must die." Then the boy replied "Don't get so worked up about it. It's not like she's going to stay dead. Besides, you're going to try to kill us anyway." That confused me. How could she not stay dead? Then we heard a yelp and the boy turned away from us. On of the vampires had knocked the girl out and was about to go in for the kill. Faster than you can blink, the boy killed the cheerleader. Instead of a body falling to the ground though, she exploded into dust. I looked into his eyes and saw how much he loved the girl and I saw a hatred for the ones that hurt her. Then in about 10 seconds flat the kid had turned all of the cheerleaders into dust. The boy saw us and looked us over. He looked at me, saw that I was the leader, and locked eyes with me. The look that was in his eyes earlier was gone, replaced by the look of a warrior. But this wasn't all, for there was also a brokenness that couldn't be fixed. I knew that look. I saw it whenever I looked in the mirror, or at Tony. But this was much, much worse. Tony must have seen it as well, because we both stumbled back at the same time. The kid must have seen this as permission to leave, because he ran over to the girl, picked her up bridal style, and jumped into the river. We looked at each other. Hawkeye voiced all of our thoughts and asked "What just happened?" No one knew what to do, so we went back to the tower to tell Fury what happened.
