Secret Love | A Colifer Fanfiction

Chapter One

"Colin?" Josh clicked his fingers in front of the Colin's face as he stared into space. He hadn't been himself ever since his divorce with Helen, something was bothering him but no one knew what.

"Sorry, I was just... I don't know" He got up and walked over to where he was about to film. Him and Jennifer were about to shoot a scene for 'Once Upon a Time' season 4 finale.

"Hello, Mr Hook." Jen said and smiled as she saw him coming. He smiled back and placed himself next to the bed on set. The camera started rolling and Jennifer came running towards him ready for the 'Captain Swan' hug they were filming, but he didn't expect what was coming next. She hugged him but they both fell onto the bed, letting out little giggles as they did. As Colin hadn't been on set for the past few days, he didn't realize the script had changed to that.

After they had finished the scene, Jen got up from Colin's lap and held out her hand to pull him up. "Only a few more scenes and we're done for another season." She smiled again and started walking, "Are you coming?" she asked, once she realized he wasn't following.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a sec, you go ahead." He told her whilst sitting back on the bed, as the film crew and directors moved everything out. He knew he had to admit it, at least to himself, something he had known for a long time. He loved her. Colin loved his co-worker, his friend. He loved Jennifer.

"And that's a wrap for season 4" The director shouted as they finished the final scene. Everyone was cold but they all cheered and started talking to each other before getting in their cars and going home for the night.

"Are you coming back to ours?" Ginny asked Jen as they were walking back. "It'll just be me, you, Josh and Colin." She noticed Jen look up as she said Colin's name but dismissed it and carried on talking "As we won't see you two until Comic-Con."

"Sure, I'll see you there."

Once they'd all got the Ginny's the four of them got Chinese and sat in the living room, laughing and talking until late. It got to 1 am and Colin had fallen asleep on the couch and it wasn't too long before Josh followed in his footsteps.

Jen watched as the boys silently slept, and she saw how still Colin laid.

"You like him don't you?" She looked up to the sound of Ginny.

"What? No. Don't be ridiculous."

"Come on Jen, you've had a school girl crush since the day you met him."

*on set for filming season 2*

Jen and Ginny were walking on set, they were about to film a scene where they found that people in their safe haven had been killed. But Jen wasn't looking where she was going and before she knew she had knocked into a man, spilling her coffee all over him.

"Oh god, I'm so sorry." She said, looking up to see one of the most handsome men she had seen in a long time.

"Don't worry, it's fine. At least it wasn't my costume. I'm Colin." He said with a cute Irish accent, before holding his hand out for her to shake.

"Jen." She smiled and shook his hand. "Why haven't I seen you on set before?"

"Well, it's my first scene with you, I'm playing Captain Hook. I just wasn't able to make the meeting where the new cast were introduced."

"Ohh, well that makes the costume statement less confusing." They both laughed quietly.

"I better go change." He said, scratching below his ear like he always did when he was nervous. That's when she saw the ring.

"Yeah. Sorry again for the coffee." They exchanged smiles and walked in separate directions.

Ginny, who had left Jen to talk to him, came skipping towards her.

"Who's that? He seemed nice, do you like him?"

"Ginny, I've literally known the guy 2 minutes."

"Yeah but that look you gave him was the same look you gave Sebastian when you met him, and you guys dated so..."

Jen sighed at her and shook her head, "well you can forget about that. He's married. I saw the ring on his finger." She looked back to see Colin still walking towards the make-up and costume trailer. She knew Ginny was right.

"Oh god." Jen whispered into her hands. "Ginny,I love him." 

AUTHORS NOTES: hardly any of the detail in this story is going to be true, like Colin not being able to make the cast meeting (Although he didn't realize that the script had changed so they'd fall back onto the bed).
