I learned

I learned to love the silence and the dark. I learned that I could eat as long as it wasn't packaged and or frozen. I learned that I couldn't drink water so I was going to die in a little while. Well so much for that wish. Be careful what you wish for. I was sitting at the grocery store eating a watermelon, skin and all, looking at the popcorn machine and counting how many kernels were in midair when I head a loud crash breaking the silence. I jumped because it had been two weeks since I had heard anything and brought the watermelon above my head ready to throw and ran to the aisle where I herd the crash excited to see something move that I didn't move.
