Adam’s POV

I ran into the room to see what was happening Ava and Layla were kneeling beside an old man, he was pretty large in size, his small gray eyes showed nothing, and his a small gray shaggy beard almost looked as if little needles were poking him all around his face. “Is he dead?” Jay asked “I’m not sure,” Layla replied “but he is breathing and everything.” Ava cocked her head and looked at him. “Wait a second.” Ava said touching the red spot on his chest. He sprang up almost biting her hand off “HOLY CRAP HE’S A ZOMBIE!” Jay shouted shooting the zombie “NO DIP SHERLOCK!” Ava screamed while grabbing a homemade flame thrower and incinerating the zombie and walked away from the ashes.

Jay and Layla put down their guns and walked towards me and Ava “Okay so first question how did he get in here?” I asked Ava rolled her eyes “Hey sweetie, look up.” I reluctantly looked up to see a small hole up above us. “And you didn’t tell us until now why?” Layla asked

“Well Adam was talking...” (I could’ve sworn I saw Layla’s eyes turning red) “...and I just saw a shadow move over us so I say we pack up and leave in about 2 to 3 minutes.” “Yeah.” I agreed.  I ran into my room and grabbed everything that I had find and ran out as fast as I could. Jay and Ava were investigating the small hole easily made by someone that was heavy like Old Man Zombie when Layla came with her gun in her hand and a freakish expression on her face.

“Okay everybody ready to see hell!?!” Ava announced as Jay set a small foot stool so we could get out. “Ready as I’ll ever be.” I replied Jay was holding Layla whispering encouraging words swaying back and forth trying to make her feel more relaxed, though I really don’t see how that works.

“Who’s going first?” I asked casually; there was an uncomfortable silence “Well….ladies first come on Layla!” yelled Ava half insane. Layla became conscious of the situation stiffly followed Ava.

Ava’s POV

I have no idea what I’ve gotten myself into; I wish I did but when I poked my head up I wanted to scream to the high heavens. Zombies were either celebrating or just loved jumping up and down around my house trying to scream…have you heard zombies scream…it’s like a pathetic moan only louder. “Oh my gosh…is that all of the zombies?” Layla asked I was too amazed to even answer that. There were more zombies than a Ke$ha and Katy Perry and whoever else likes to sing about bad stuff the kids love!

I felt a warm presence behind me to see that Adam and Jay were out of the hole and Adam was standing right beside me. “Wait guys I think it would be smart if we GET DOWN before they realize we’re right here!” Layla whispered furiously we all slid down on our stomachs watching them. The all crowded around my house though it was only a couple of blocks from the spot we were looking at my house looks so small compared to the zombies around it.

Then someone or something appeared on the roof “Guys what is that?” I asked, they shrugged “Wait,” Jay squinted “it looks exactly like the guy off of that boring magazine cover I think it was-” “Office and More.” I interrupted “Yeah how did you-” “He’s my dad.” I admitted “No way!” Layla “I read his bio in one of the magazine’s because I had free-time and he didn’t mention he had a kid!” “Because all he cared about is being in power.” I whispered “Not about his messed up family.”

“Well he’s getting power now!” Adam said “What!” Adam now had a small pair of binoculars “Where did you get those?” I asked. Adam shrugged they were on the floor and so when me and Jay were about to climb up I grabbed them.” “Hu….” I trailed off Adam handed me the binoculars and sure enough the zombies put a crown from Burger King on his decaying head.

“Okay let’s get out of here before the crowning of King Zombie is over.” I said a little annoyed. We army crawled out of the field and ran to the city or what was left of it. The city consisted of the frames of the flammable buildings and the bricks of buildings occasionally fell. “Hey guys found a perfect vehicle!” Adam called. We turned to find him sitting in the front seat with the key dangling from his hand.

I rolled my eyes “A jeep, you honestly think that a jeep has the mileage and everything to out run werewolves and vampires and whatever else this place has to throw at us?” Adam was silent for a second “We can still change cars.” “Fine, hey Jay, Layla we got a ride!”
