Chapter one
Jenny's P.O.V
Finally! I thought as I got off the plane from New York to the western coast of California in order to peruse my long life dream of becoming a forensic scientist, but also attending my dream university. Stanford university had officially accepted me into their school, which made me work my butt off for with all those clubs, volunteering, and AP and college classes.
I had everything apart of my life perfectly plan out, or so I say... But I would say I'm right. First, find a place to live (preferably with another person). Second, win over the teachers (forensic scientists teachers). Third, find a job....(fast)
My parents back home were very ecstatic to hear I was accepted so were my best friends in high school and of course my teachers were as well, now I really know the meaning of wanting to thank a teacher.
So here I am present day California in the international airport where my taxi was suppose to be here five minutes ago. Fortunately, I don't mind standing here for awhile I mean California does have big cities like new York, but its different in some way maybe because of the palm trees they give that tropical flow.
Dang. I thought there must be a lot of traffic for my taxi drivers to show up late, or it could be one of those rare events where the wife is randomly going into labor after she was fine minutes ago. I wonder if those only happen in the movies...
"You must be waiting for your late taxi driver as well" said a strangers voice behind me. As he slowly walked forward coming closer to me with every step, I could see that he was obviously well fit and must have amazing eyes behind those shades. His black hair was short, but it was styled just right to give him the oh-I-just-got-out-of-bed hair. He kind of gave off the aura of an arrogant and conceded person. If I did judge a person by their cover, then I would have to say that he would be classified as a jerk in my books.
"Yeah, I am." I said.
"So, first time here visiting the sunny land of California?" he asked
"Nope, it's the second." I replied
"What were both your reasons?" he asked
"Hmm... That's kinda of personal to tell a stranger who just came up to me 3 minutes ago."
"Not really in my opinion."
"Well in my opinion, yes it is very strange and to me very pedophile of you to say so... Also I don't even know your name." I said
"it's Spencer Spots. I got a new job here or I got a job transfer, since I still have my old boss."
"Well good for you" I said
"Aren't you going to tell me your name?"
"Why?"
"Because I just told you mine"
"Well I didn't ask for it really"
"But you have to go with the flow like a normal person would"
"What does that mean?" I asked confused, surely not wanting to tell him my name and my business would not be a crime.
"Well If someone tells another person their name they would normally say it back. Right?"
"Well then i'm not normal"
"What are you then" he asked
"I Might be a celebrity undercover, or just an alien who rounds her way across the space time line I don't know use your imagination."
By now Spencer was staring at me wide eyed not because of my reasons to not tell him my business and name, but probably because of my last sentence. What van I say I'm a girl who's first language is sarcasm not english.
"Wow aren't you a big bottle of sunshine." he said
"Wow aren't you so original, jeez once the taxi comes I'm gonna beat the drivers ass."
"Woah hold on there tiger, you don't want him to file an assume order on You and try to murder you in your sleep, because truthfully I wouldn't want to assigned to your case and seeing your dead body. I just meet you and from my point of view I think were going to become a great pair of friends."
"Huh? What are you detective?" I asked
"Yep! Sweetheart I work for the FBI, I'm gonna be running the head office here in the big state of Cali."
"So that's why your so happy all the time, nice."
No it's not nice! If he works for the FBI then one day I might have to work with him. Ugh I mean its been five minutes and he's already annoying me. Can't he just go away? Ooh! I think that's my taxi yay he saved me! I guess I won't beat him for saving me.
"Well that's my ride, good luck Spots on your new job and I take back what I said to just do you the favor of avoiding everything that you just said which I by the way think it was very pointless. See ya maybe someday I'll tell you my name"
"Wha..wait!" before he could say anything more I had already got into the taxi, while the driver was also getting in after putting my luggage into the trunk. I could see his face full of surprise, and wonder with his mouth wide open. It looked quite funny actually. The taxi started moving so I decide since I won't meet him again soon I would forget all about him.
Spencer's P.O.V
Damn. I thought as the taxi drove away with the unknown girl inside. At first, I thought that talking to her would make her notice me and ask for my number... But she just saw me as a annoyance. It was unbelievable on the flight here; she was sitting right next to me and didn't even see me sitting right next to her at all, because obviously she had no clue I was the man she sat by.
UGH!! Why do I keep thinking about her!! Okay Spencer it's time to stop. Think about... The life I'm gonna get at the new FBI agency. I still couldn't believe that I had gotten my dream job and what's more that the government had given me the highest position available. I worked my ass off to get this far and I'm not gonna give that up never, but I wonder what the girl is here for.... UGH NO DON THINK ABOUT THAT!! I have to get over her.
At least I won't see her again...
