As Billy sat in the hospital chair, he knew it could only be bad news for him to here.
" I am so sorry but your son has a brain tumour." Said the doctor!
" oh no, but my baby, he is so young." Said Billy's mum, as she broke into tears. Billy just sat there paralysed with fear about what the future holds for him and his health.
" don't worry about it though as we caught it early. If we begin a 10 week course of kemo
Now, we should be able to get rid of the tumour using surgery after the course. So that okay?" Said the nurse.
" o-o-o-o-o-k "
Billy then quickly realised that he couldn't really go to school with his brain tumour as the kemo is going to make him really ill and he won't be able to consentrate very easily atall. This made billy quite upset because he was scared that he couldn't have a social life atall but even worse is that he may not even be able to be friends with summer anymore and that is what makes him feel the most upset! He had to tell summer about it before it was to late.
" so Billy are you ok or are there any questions you have to ask me?" Said the nurse.
" no I think I can just look up the rest of the uses tins when and if they come to my head." He said.
As mum and Billy left the room, he quickly got his phone out ready to text summer about his life threatening illness. He wrote:
Hi summer I just wanted to tell you something, I went to the doctors today about my head and they told me some really bad news. The news is that I have a brain tumour. I know that is some really bad news but even though u get told that, they said that if j have kemo therapy for 10 weeks the have surgery to remove the tumour then hopefully there won't be any sign of re-growth. And they caught it early so it will be easier cure because of this. Please don't be too worried! I also won't be attending school for 25 weeks so you will have to come round and help me catch up on any work that I have missed! See you soon xx
He was happy with that message and sent it immediately to prevent him from being worried about what she was going to say.
