(Robin/ Dick Grayson)

"I'm not a damsel in distress. I don't need your help" she angrily huffed toward me.

"It's clear you do and I'm not going to stop helping you until you don't need help." I shot back at her the hero in me taking over.

She looked a bit taken back. I watched her start to get off the bed then grip it tightly as her eyes flashed with fear and uncertainty. Damn why was she so persistent.

I got up and stood next to her "whoa slow down get back in bed"

"I'm fine, I just need some food" she said weakly. So damn persistent.

The nurse thought so. There is a tray right there." I pointed toward the table next to me, "now sit down, eat some, and relax"

She sighed a small fine. "you can go now, I'm fine" she mumbled while reaching for a yogurt

"I'm not leaving until I'm sure your fine"

"whatever" man this girl was so irritating.

The bell rang for school to be over. The nurse walked in "Do you want me to call your parents?" "No that'll be ok" she said.

"I'll take her home, I'm sure my dad won't mind" I said and smiled at the nurse.

"Ok, make sure you eat enough tonight, Esmeralda" "I will miss"

I walked her out of the nurses office and to her locker. I left her for a moment and ran to my own locker which probably wasn't a good idea because when I came back she was missing. I ran out the front doors and saw her ducking between cars making a wary attempt to escape. What was wrong with this girl?

I kept a few meters behind her so she was in my sight, but she didn't know I was there. I followed her through the streets and ally ways of the not so good part of town. Buildings were falling apart, cars were broken down, curtains were pulled. This is where the poor and homeless lived. What was a Gotham Academy student doing here? Even the scholarship kids lived on the right side of town.

She stopped in front of a building and sighed, she sighs a lot. She walked in. I heard her muffled voice, then a slightly louder and more angry voice of a man. Then a door slam.

'There's nothing more I can do' I thought to myself. I started on my way back home. I had to admit she was cute but her personality needs some tuning. I don't think I could even be friends with her.

I walked through the front door of Wayne Manor. Up in my room I franticaly worked on my homework. At about 7:30 I was done and put on my Robin Uniform.

I rushed downstairs, got a bite to eat, and ran down to the batcave. With a map of where we were patroling, and a nod me and Batman were off.
