Chase's POV:
I saw Bree and Adam sleeping together. I quietly told Leo that we should go downstairs and play video games in the lab. He did so we ditched the losers and started playing some Call of Duty.
As I was in the middle of a perfect round, the buzzer started going off and I realized the results of Bree's blood test were ready. I paused the game and read the data. It showed that the poison took away many of her white blood cells making her completely week. There was no reason to why she couldn't stop super speeding.
It turns out Bree was going to be fine. It said that this has happened previously in her family before. That was incredible because when something similar happened to himself, it said no such thing. He looked deeper into her file.
None of this made sense. It said that Bree was the daughter of Anna and Robert Wright, not Douglas Davenport. I was extremely confused. This didn't make any sense.
I looked in Adam's file too. It said he had different parents also. I looked in my file and realized I had the same parents as Adam. What did this mean. Are Adam and I the only biological siblings in this family?
Just then, Mr. Davenport came in. Once he saw what I was looking at, he looked at me. "Chase I can explain everything." He said, but how was I supposed to believe him. I might not even be related to my 'sister'.
"Then do it. I will get Adam and Bree down here and I need you to explain everything to them, okay?" I said as I went to the elevator to go and get my so called family.
When I got up there I saw neither one of them were awake. I couldn't help but see that this is what Adam has always wanted. He never wanted to be Bree's brother; he wanted to be Bree's boyfriend.
I went to go wake up Adam. He was easy to wake up. I started shaking his shoulder. "Adam Mr. Davenport wants to tell us something" I said quietly, trying to not to wake up Bree just yet. Her hand was on Adam's chest.
"Bree," Adam said trying to wake her up. "Bree Mr. Davenport needs to see us." Her eyes fluttered open and she removed herself from Adam. "I still can't feel my legs," she said tiredly as Adam lifted her up bridal style again.
"Chase what does Mr. Davenport need to tell us?" Bree asked me. I didn't know what to say. "I don't know he just told me to come of here and get you two." The elevator door opened and we saw Mr. Davenport standing there looking 100% guilty.
"Guys, please sit down." I sat next to Bree and Adam sat on the other side of her. "I need to tell you guys the truth. You know you aren't my kids, but Douglas' right?" We all nodded. "Well, only two of you are actually Douglas' kids." We all looked at each other. Honestly, if I didn't know it was Adam and me, I would have thought Bree and I would have been siblings. We look more alike than Adam and me or Adam and Bree.
"Adam, Chase, you guys are actually Douglas' kids. Bree, you're adopted from some adoption agency. I don't really remember the name. Both of your parents died when you were young and you were left there. When I took the boys from Douglas, I realized how much they needed someone to settle their arguments and they needed a sister. You were five when I chose you. Adam was six and Chase was four."
We all looked at Bree. "So, my whole life has been a lie?" She asked. Davenport didn't know what to say. "Bree, I'm sorry, I should have told you. I don't know why I didn't."
"Mr. Davenport, I don't care what you say; these guys are my brothers. Maybe not be blood, but I will love these guys no matter what. You can never take that away."
I got up and so did Adam. Adam grabbed Bree and we all got into the elevator to go back up to the couch. "Bree, are you okay?" Adam asked. "I don't know. I mean, my whole life has been a huge lie. We're not even family." She said. I stared at Adam and gave him a wink. He knew exactly what that meant; he could now date Bree.
