After school, Michelle took me shopping. Along the way, we got to know each other a little better.
"So, Raveen," she said, "Do you like the new boy?"
"Who, Niall?" I replied.
"Yeah, him."
I hesitated to answer. I did like him, but I almost peed my pants when he screamed back at me. "Um, yeah I do like him, as a friend. I repeat, AS A FRIEND."
Michelle looked at me. "Yeah, you're right. He looks like he don't wanna get to close to anybody. Okay! We're at the mall! Get out my car, woman."
I stared at her. "Damn, you are crazy."
"I know!" She sassed. "But I'm proud of it. Makes me who I am."
"Yeah, I guess so," I said. "I need to find what makes ME who I am."
"Oh," said Michelle. "Well, you uhh, umm, I dunno, you.... I DON'T FREAKING KNOW! I guess you'll find out later!"
I laughed and punched her arm. "Crazy girl."
Michelle looked at me. "Shut up and let's go PAR-TAYYYY SHOPPING!!!!"
I laughed at her. "How about YOU shut up?!"
We went into the mall. "Wow, this is big," I said.
"Yup," said Michelle, "this is what happens when people don't shop at the mall!" She grabbed my arm and dragged me to the escalator. "Come on! There's this store on the third floor that sells party clothes and stuff. I need a new dress too, so hurry up slow poke!"
I glared at Michelle. "Look who's talking, the one that isn't on the escalator yet." I stepped around her and on to the rising stairs. She quickly came running after me, rolling her eyes.
When we got to the store, my eyes literally popped out of their sockets. "This...is...AMAZING!!!" I breathed.
"Yeah I know right?!" Michelle piped up. "Let's get shopping!!"
We browsed around the store. Suddenly, I saw the perfect dress. Michelle saw it too. "Oh em gee!! That's the perfect dress for you Raveen!!"
It was a red champagne dress with silver sparkles and spaghetti straps. It really WAS perfect for me; it looked great with my chocolate-brown locks and amber eyes when I tried it on. We found the perfect dress for Michelle too. Her dress was flowed down to her knees and it was a banana yellow color. It was strapless, and it had a big yellow flower with a diamond in the middle at the waist. We loved our dresses and went to pay for them.
"$95 dollars?! Michelle, do you have that money??" I screamed.
"Yeah sure I do! I wouldn't come here unprepared!" She pulled out a hundred dollar bill from her pocket and have it to the cashier. "Keep the change," she said.
After that, we went shopping for shoes to match our dresses. Mine were 5-inch open toed silver pumps with diamonds at the front. Michelle bought 4-inch gold pumps with a platform and bows at the front. The platform part was covered with gold glitter. I was shocked at how rich Michelle was, because she had to pay $150 dollars.
"Girl," I said, "you need to take me shopping more often. In fact, I could live off of you!"
"I wouldn't let you even if you tried, woman!" She screamed. "Now let's go buy some good and get outta here. I need to do my homework. Wanna come to my house to do homework?"
"Sure," I said. I wasn't about to get consumed by the loneliness in my house.
