“Nanny...”
The old woman turned around, her sight wasn't as good as before, she saw nothing other than seeing shadows, everything in black and white. But her voice, she'll never forget her voice.
A child she loved like her own.
A child she thought she lost.
“Is that you?” she said, reaching her hand for the shadow.
“It's me. I'm home”
“But I thought... They said...”
“They tried”
“I thought I lost you forever” the old woman cried.
“I'm back, Nanny. I seek no revenge but I'm here to claim what belongs to me. My daughter”
.....
Krystal's POV
“Tae, no...It's dirty”
“Mmm Mmmma mmuum” the little girl protested in her own language.
“Mommy said no” I took the toy car from her mouth “Go play with your brother”
I lifted my son and put him next to her.
I started to clean up the toys that were scattered all over the floor, while watching Tae hug her brother.
“Miss, you should let me do that” the children's nanny came with a bottle of warm milk for Taejun.
“It's okay, Nanny Nam” I took the bottle from her and lifted Taejun in my lap “Now, aren't you hungry?”
I watched him drinking his milk happily, put him on my shoulder as he was finished and patted his back until he burped.
“Is my husband back?” I asked the nanny.
“I haven't seen him, Miss” Nanny Nam wiped Taeyon's mouth. The little girl happily spooning her food, spilled the food all over her mouth and some dripped on the floor. If it were up to her, the nanny would love to feed the little girl but I wanted my children to be independent. It's always a mess but it's cute seeing how the little girl spooning the porridge all over her face.
