A WAR of 4

4-Confusion (Derek)

Ever since I found Mavis on the battlefield I've been feeling weird. It's clear that I care for her , she' changing me . What is worse is my dreams . I thought I lost my dreams since I failed to save my father but , days before the meeting my dreams got back to me and they are turning into nightmares. I believe that Mavis is the only one who cares for the fate of everyone , not just her kingdom. Honestly if all the kingdoms fell to destruction I wouldn't care as long as nothing reaches my kingdom . I first saw her 20 years ago after my father have passed away. She came to my father's grave and put some sunshine flowers and paid her respects , a significance that my father's sun will never set. I was stuck behind a wall , observing her . She kept crying the whole time , she fell to her knees as her soft tears fell on the flowers.

I carried Mavis to her room and called for the healers right away . They say that her wounds have healed , she should have been awake by now , it's been hours since the fight . I've already lost enough of people I know. The healers have been around her for a while doing stuff I don't really understand

"Why isn't she awake yet , she looks like she'd been through nothing , no wounds at all " I shouted.

"Sir , maybe you should rest , it's been a long day " said the guard.

"I won't go to celebrate with the people and turn a blind eye " I shouted.

"Sir, we don't know what's wrong " said the old healer.

"Then Know it , I won't leave her" I shouted.

"Some things in life you just wait to see the difference happen by itself , there is nothing you can do to speed it up and no one could stop it " said the healer.

My hands turned to fists and they gave a good punch to that old man .

"Don't give me the surrender speech , I won't give up , I won't make the same mistake twice  "  I meant my father .

The guard helped the old man up and took him away leaving me with her alone . I sat by the bed and looked at her with all sadness. I held her cold hand and rested my head on the head beside her . For a while I though I was crying . I release her hand as I come closer . I hesitated but I did it anyway , I just kissed her on the forehead .

"What are you doing to me Mavis? are you killing me ? it's a very nice way to die , I'm just so worried about you , I wish I could to talk to you one more time before I die , is that much to ask ? " I was saying nonsense.

My tears really fell on her soft cheek and went down to her rose like small lips , I thought that she was smiling , I removed her brown long hair away from her face to see if she was really smiling . she was smiling , to me . I felt a moment of happiness , she talked to me with just a smile , it seems like I'm the one dying not her . 

"Oh my god you look so peaceful " I said .

I looked behind to see Victoria and Ryuk behind me .

"Yeah , she is fascinating " said Victoria .

"Why are you still here ? and why did you hit the healer so hard ? " Ryuk asked.

"Long story , he was annoying " I said.

"You need to rest those eyes of yours , in case you didn't notice there are two big bags around them " said Victoria .

"See what I mean when I said -annoying- " I said.

"You look pale too, you can't blame her you have to stop thinking about her for a while " said Ryuk.

"I couldn't possibly worry about myself right now and with you guys around I stopped thinking about her for about 7 seconds " I said.
