self-love is a complex thing for some people, and as easy as breathing for others.
there is no set way to learn and grow self-love, it cannot be forced, it evolves on it's own.
slowly, when everything is bad, you see the glimmer of hope. you don't wince when you look at yourself in the mirror.
yes there will be days where you feel like you are going in reverse; everything is going wrong, you want to die, but trust me, you will make it through those days.
and then suddenly, you feel happy. sometimes it hits you all at once and you don't believe it. you can tell good things are happening when the tightness in you chest weakens and the cold in your bones warms just a bit.
now self-love can also be dangerous. there is the self-love that you develop due to someone else who encourages you to be your best and encourages you to love yourself. that self-love can be dangerous because often times, if that person leaves, so does the self-love.
if this happens to you, you feel as if you are back to zero. but something i learned from someone leaving and getting my self-love stripped of me, is that now that you are back to zero, you can learn yourself. you can take the time alone, to learn exactly who you are.
self-love is, in most cases, all but a simple thing. it is a stressful battle for happiness.
but just keep fighting, because self-love is the most important love of all.
