Hello, my name is Ari and I'm 14 and gay.
I first started questioning my sexuality during 5-6 grade. When I found myself being attracted to males more then females. I didn't want to tell anyone or have anyone on my case about it. So I obviously kept quiet about it, I tried my best to cover it by "trying" to date girls or ask them to pretend for me. They asked why, I told them and they never said anything about it. After about 6 months, I went on a trip to a camp sort of place, me and my class stayed there for about 3 days. I wanted today to be the day that I come out to my close friends. I asked everyone to leave my dorm for a little while, they left and it was me and my friend. I told him to sit down on the bed as I told him, he just said "thank you" and hugged me, as i hugged him back. There was a boy outside my door and he told everyone. At the time I was so scared about what would happen to me, but it turned out, nobody really cared about it.
I am now in 8th grade in Wisconsin and am hoping to have a great rest of my life over those years in high school and beyond. 🤑🤑
