When life takes unexpected turns

Last day of school

May 30th 

          It's the last day of middle school and Clare was being rushed to get all her stuff back from the people that had borrowed it. She stumbled into the lunch room, this would be the last time she would be able to eat lunch with her friends. She sat at the table where her friend Gage was sitting. He had already gotten his food. "Aren't you hungry?" He asked. Gage gave her a small closed mouth smile. "Not really." Clare replied smiling back. The teacher walked to Clare. "Your mother is here to get you, take your belongings to the office." she said with hatred lining her tone. Gage gazed at her and smiled "See you next year." The light in her eyes darkened at his words. "Sure".

The summer rolled by Clare until the month of July. She got the news that her and her family was going to be moving away from all of her friends. Clare called all friends on Facebook and told them the horrible news, cutting back her sobs by biting her lip every few seconds. She spent the remaining nights crying herself to sleep. Just because of the fact that she never told Gage, the boy she had fallen in love with, how she had felt about him. But with fate not being on her side she had been taken out of school early. She looks over at the clock and it read 2:33 AM. Clare got out of bed and went to the bathroom, "I best just start packing now and get it over with." She said with a sigh by 5:00 AM her room was fully packed up and she stood there and started crying. She stopped as soon as she heard her mother's soft footsteps nearing her bedroom door. She wiped her tears away and plastered a fake smile on her face. Finally after what seemed like hours her mother enters. "We are going to be living in a camper in Box Elder for a while." Clare's fake smile dropped and a look of pure disgust took over. "Really? A camper, again?" she almost shouted. Her family lived in a camper for about 3 years once and she hated it.

"I know you are not happy about it." She stated as she returned the look Clare had just given her, as if in agreement.
