Harley POV
I had been sitting in Richards office alone for the last hours. I continued to work on my video and answering mails and questions. But I was started to feel starved. I hadn't really eaten anything since breakfast.
I pondered if getting up and going to drive to get something to eat would be worth it when Richards office phone went off. It had been ringing a few times but I had ignored it.
It went silent and started ringing again just a few seconds later. Beside the boys everyone left for the day so I just grabbed the phone and answered.
"Gas Monkey Garage your speaking to Harley. How can I help you?" I said.
"Harley?" It was Sue. Oh god what shall I do? I can't just hang up.
"Hey Sue...what's up?"
"Why do you pick up Richards phone? In his office?" she asked angrily.
"Well you called again and since no one is here I thought I'd answer."
"But why are you in Richards office? I thought we talked about this!"
"Listen Sue I really appreciate your concern but I think I'm old enough to make my own decisions. Richard and I are adults and since the two of you are no longer married I guess you shouldn't care."
"Harley you don't know what you get yourself into!"
"I guess I do. Anyway. Was there anything I can help you with?"
"Listen Harley. If you don't stop seeing Richard I can no longer offer you a job."
In that moment Richard appeared in the door with a questioning look upon his face.
"So you're making me choose between my job and Richard?" I questioned her.
"Yes. I just can't combine these two things."
"Well than its clear what I choose."
"I knew you would come to your senses Harley. Its better this way!" she exclaimed happily.
"No Sue. I'm choosing Richard over your job. I can certainly find something better to pay my bills. But I doubt I'll find such a good man again." I smiled.
"Harley! Don't you dare...." I clicked her away and shook my head.
"What's wrong?" Richard asked.
"Nothing. Your crazy ex-wife called. She didn't expect me to pick up the phone, got angry and made me choose between you and the job at her place. And I choose you." I shrugged
"I'm sorry?" he tried.
"Don't be sorry. It's not like I desperately need the job. I will find something else."
He gave me a light kiss. "Listen I will be stuck here for a little while. You're probably bored as hell so I ordered one of the boys to drive you to my place. Here are the keys."
