Beaten: Chapter 3

'Let's hope this turns out like I plan to."I was about to step off the edge, when the roof door opened. Oh God, not now. Really? It had to be now?

I was pulled off the roof and into someone's arm. "Lucy. Don't do this." Natsu. He's always so caring. I was dragged off the roof and we were fixing to head to the cafeteria when I stopped.

"Why didn't you just let me jump?! I could have died! I could have been set free from all this pain built up inside me! No one wants me here anyways! Why did you save me?!"

Natsu looked at me for a second. "Luce, we all need you. I don't know what's wrong, but we care for you. And we'll try to help no matter what."

I slid down to the floor and started to cry, but immediately got picked up by my group of friends. After a couple of seconds of crying, Natsu said something that shocked everyone.

"Lucy tried to jump off the roof." I was let go of immediately and everyone stared at me. Hard. "Why would you do that Lucy?!"Erza yelled at me.

"You guys don't understand! You don't understand what I go through! Or my life at all! You all have such perfect lives, so how could you understand?! You make it seem like you guys care about me, but I know you don't, because no one ever has and ever will!"I shouted while crying. Honestly, they looked shocked at my outburst.

"What has gotten into you?! We have always loved you, and we always will! And we will try to understand if you tell us. And believe me! We do not have perfect lives. They are far from perfect."Erza yelled back.

Natsu pulled out a note. I then realized it was the note I set out. "What's that Natsu?"Levy asked. "The note Lucy was gonna leave us." They all silently looked over the note,

I love you guys so much,
So that's why I have to go.
You guys probably don't understand this yet,
But you will sooner or later.
Will you do me a favor,
And get Austin out of the house?
And don't bring him back either.

I couldn't stand it any longer.
You guys never noticed either.
I mean, I don't blame you though,
I tried to cover it up.

Again,

And please don't hate me for doing this.
I just couldn't hold on any longer.

"What do you mean you couldn't hold on any longer? And about Austin?"Erza asked. "Don't ask questions! It's just gonna be even harder on me!"I stated while breaking down again.

Natsu crouched down and put his hands on my sleeves. "Can I?" I hesitated, but nodded slowly. He pulled my sleeves up to show a lot of bruises and cuts, made by me mostly. Everyone gasped.

"Did you do this to yourself?"Mira asked. I nodded slowly, while releasing tears once again.
