"We're what?" I said, not quite understanding what he meant.

"We're-" He pointed at himself and then at me. "Monstras." he started to move his finger back at himself and me a few more times. I watched the wiggling finger for a bit before I lifted my head so that it met his face.

"I get that, but could you explain what 'Monstras' are?" I put an emphasis on Monstras.

"Well, that's what we are kid." He grinned when he said that.

I'm starting to think that he's trying to get a rise out of me. I stared at him for a good long while before turning and heading back towards the library.

"Hey, kid, where do you think your going?" He shouted out, not following me this time.

"To the library, to elaborate what Monsters are, why they exist, and whatever else I come across." I waved one of my hands in the air expressively.

"Well you won't find anything there, were a very private people." he taunted. Stopping, I turned to face his freakishness again.

"Ok then, tell me what I want to know about monstras." I seethed.

"Hmm... I can't exactly tell you what we are," I was about to start screaming at him, "BUT! I can show you."

I calmed down... Just a bit, though. "Ok, so, are you going to show me where you all live or something? Do you all even live together or are you all just, like, regular people?"

"Just follow me, Kid." He ignored my questions, that actual ticked me off a bit.

I left with the freak. I was wary of this guy as I followed behind, watching how lazy his strides were as he walked. I didn't know If I could trust him, he hasn't harmed me so far, he just scared me, badly, but he's still a stranger, but then again, he is slightly willing to tell/show me what I want to know, at the same time I don't know if what he's saying is true or not, it might be better to leave...

No! I have to know, any little detail will help, not just for me, but for my brother as well.

We walked for about an hour before he started complaining about how far the place he was taking me to was. I asked why he didn't get a taxi if it was so far, he responded with an "Oh yeah those exist now," I truly think this man is either insane or extremely stupid. He hailed a taxi and told the driver to go to the address, 999 Newberry Pike, I made sure to memorize that, who knows if I'll need it later to tell the cops where I am to save my butt. As the taxi man, Dave, drove the taxi, I didn't speak. I was way out of my comfort zone and it didn't help that this guy I've put my faith into, might just be an insane killer or something along the lines of that. I watched him as he talked to Dave, they seemed to know each other fairly well, it struck me odd, considering how he just remembered that taxi's existed. Maybe he knew this guy outside of his taxi work or he was just trying to mess with my head again by acting familiar with this guy, whatever it was I didn't dwell on it to log because Dave announced that we were here.

When the freak and I got out of the taxi, I saw that we were in an alleyway. For some reason, it wasn't like any other alleyway I've seen before, real life or movies. It was extremely clean with intact garbage cans and zero litter on the ground. Looking up I saw a sign above an entrance on the side of the ally. The sign was a bright neon pink, it said 'Monstras et homines, Salve' I didn't know what the sign said in English, so, wrote it off as being in Spanish. It took me a second to realize what this place was an underground bar.

Fear struck me, I did not want to go down there, I've seen the movies, this guy was going to sell me like a prostitute, or take my organs and sell them, or just sell something of mine! I tried to run out of the ally, but this yellow-eyed freak grabbed me by the hood of my hoodie and dragged me in. I was internally freaking out. What if I didn't see my brother again, how will my brother manage without me, will he be ok, will he grow up without me, what if this freak went after him, what do- my thoughts were cut off as I saw the interior of this place.
