April 12, 2003, Gimmauld Place.

It was on Teddy's 5th birthday that everything went to Hell, at first I couldn't believe it, they say that when someone dies, betrays you, you made a mistake or something bad happens to you, denial is the first thing that comes to mind. You start forming excuses and explanations in your mind. Reasoning with yourself that what you are seeing is impossible but when every single fact is lay down for you to see, you have to stop being blind and admit that you were wrong to think that something like that could never happen to you. I remember when I was just days from being 17, when I was so naive to think that someone, anyone in my little "family" could betray me, my Uncle Remus looked at me in disbelief, admiration, pity and understanding, like if he couldn't believe what I was thinking and going back to that moment I understand his expression, we were in the middle of a war, no knowing who to trust and I was innocent enough to think that we wouldn't be affected, that no one in my little "family" would betray me.

"You think am a fool?" I asked him.

"No, I think you're just like your father" He said.

That answer hurt more than he would have say "yes". Because we both knew that my father was once naive to believe like I did and that is the reason he is dead. He knew he hurt me with that but he knew I needed it and not just months after he told me that my friends little by little started betraying me, but they came back and I didn't learn my lesson and now in Teddy's 5th birthday, I finally learned the lesson, I finally stopped seeing in black and white and started seeing in color and with the help of Aunt Andromeda I saw the true colors of the people around me.

"Surprise!" Our friends and family chorused at us when we entered Grimmauld Place. Teddy gave a scream of delight and hugged me.

"Thank you, papa!" He said, his brown hair turned blue and his hazel eyes turned green and went to hug everyone else.

"So, how did it go? Did he suspect anything?" Hermione asked while she greeted me.

"No, nothing" I shook my head "He really thought that we were just going to the zoo and movies and that was it, he didn't suspect a thing about all of this" I said to her. It was strange how much Teddy loved the muggle world, but he guessed that having a Godfather and Aunt that grew up in that world helped a little in discovering that love.

"How did things went in here?" I asked

"It went fine, Andy and Molly took care of the food while Ginny, Luna and I took care of the decorations, by the way you have some mail from the Ministry. Kingsley sent a letter saying that he wouldn't be able to come today but he sent Teddy's gift by owl is with the other presents" Hermione said.

After Voldermort died, Hermione went looking for her parents, while everything went well with them she couldn't stay with them for long because the Wizarding World was in chaos. The Aurors and Hit Wizards were going left and right picking the Death Eaters that escaped in the Last Battle and the rest of Voldermort's supporters and spies that he had all over Britain be in the Ministry, Diagon Alley, Hogsmead, St. Mungo's, Gringotts or Hogwarts.

The Ministry went into a "cleaning spree" that resulted in more than half the Ministry going into trial and Harry was happy to admit that one of those people was Dolores Umbridge and she went to Azkaban for sending Dementors to Privet Drive, using Blood Quills on students, steeling property from a corpse, trying to use the Cruciatus Curse on Harry and protecting one of Voldermort's Horcuxes and a lot of more things.
