Chapter 1

Ally's Pov
I wake up. My clock flashing 8:20 right in front of my face. I get up and go to the toilet. I wash my hands and climb back into bed, hoping that I will fall back asleep, but sleep doesn't come to me. I climb out of bed and put my slippers on and head downstairs. I look at the kitchen bench and I see a note there. It reads: Hi sweetie, I'm at work. Sorry they called in saying that Sophie was sick so I'm taking her shift. I'll be back at 5:00. There's blueberry pancakes in the fridge for breakfast if you're hungry. Call me if you need anything.I love you. Love mum xx

I look in the fridge and see the plate of blueberry pancakes. You're a legend Mum, I thought as I grabbed the plate filled with blueberry pancakes.

I grab four and put them on an extra plate. I put them in the microwave and heat them up. While they are in the microwave, I get the ice-cream from the freezer and the maple syrup from the fridge. The microwave beeps and I open the microwave door and reach out to take the plate out. I get a knife and fork from the drawer, then I sit down at the table. I dig in (don't judge, I like eating food). Even though I eat a lot of food, I still make sure to go on runs. I finish my food and get up from my chair and walk to the sink and rinse my plate under hot water before placing it into the dishwasher. I hear my phone bleep so I check it. The ID is unknown but I open the message anyway.

Unknown: Hey, is this Ally?

Ally: Ah, who wants to know?

Unknown: Me

Ally: Who is this?

Unknown: Aiden Smith

Ally: Oh hey. How'd you get my number?

Aiden: From a girl called Beca. Do you know her?

I cursed loudly.

Ally: Yeah, she just happens to be my best friend

Aiden: Oh that makes sense now,

Ally: Yeah haha,

Aiden: So I was wondering if you wanted to come and see a movie with me tomorrow?

I have to re-read the message to make sure I'm not seeing things, before typing a quick reply.

Ally: Sure! What movie did you have in mind?

Aiden: I was thinking Lala Land, only if you wanted to watch that, if not that's okay, you can pick something, I don't mind. 

I laugh at his rambling.

Ally: No no that sounds great! I love to see that with you, what time?

Aiden: Okay sounds good. It starts at 10:40 am, but if that's too early for you, I can change it to a later session, I don't mind,

Ally: No, it's okay, that time sounds great! I guess I'll see you tomorrow

Aiden: Okay cool. Yeah tomorrow. Hey ah thanks for agreeing to come..

Ally: Yeah of course! Why wouldn't I?

Aiden: I don't know :)

Ally: Haha, you are adorable you know?

Aiden: Thank you, but of course not as adorable as you x.

I stare at his message and blink a couple of times, unsure of what to say. 

Ally: Aww. Why do you think I'm adorable? You don't even look or speak to me at school...

Aiden: That's what you think... I look at you every day from a distance. I don't come up and speak to you because I'm too nervous to talk to you because you are too beautiful for anyone's good...

I am shocked at this. Aiden Smith, the guy every girl wants to date and every guy wants to be, just called me beautiful.

Ally: Aww. Aiden, you should never be nervous to talk to me. What would you be nervous about? Thank you for calling my beautiful, but it's not true x. 

Aiden: I just am, I dunno, everything about you makes me nervous. What on earth are you talking about? Of course you're beautiful! What makes you think you're not? xx

Ally: Well, don't be nervous, come talk to me one day. Let me ask you a question. Why do you wanna take me out to see a movie with you? I mean you could ask Helen, or Amy, they are both way more popular than me and of course way prettier than I could ever be.

Aiden: Yeah maybe I will. I should just man up and do it. The reason I asked you is because I have liked you since you moved to our school. You picked up everything so easily and you are so smart and you're just beautiful to look at. And I mean, your comebacks against Helen and Amy are fabulous. You seem, I don't want to sound cringy or something, but through my eyes... you're perfect.

It doesn't make sense Aiden Smith calling me perfect. Of all people, I assumed he would never want to speak to me and yet here we are having a conversation on text. I am stunned at how sweet he sounds.

Ally: Aiden, you should've never hidden your feelings from me. The more you keep them locked up inside the more it eats you from the inside out. 

Aiden: Yeah I should've I'm sorry but I didn't have the guts to tell you that I like you.

Ally: Well I have something to say to you too..

Aiden: Yeah what is it?

Ally: I...

Also sorry for the cliffhanger!! but I thought it would be good. Please tell me in the comments what you think she is going to say. Does she like him or does she like someone else?
