Dreams.
So far, her dreams were blank. It always were, up until now. She didn't bother telling anyone because it doesn't mean anything to her. She has dreams that she plans to alter in her reality, so when she sleeps in complete darkness, she found serenity in it rather.
"Hayley dear, it's already 7am. " Hayley's mom voice called from downstairs. And in a snap, she immediately sat up straight, glancing at her alarms clock, she noticed that it has died.
Sighing in annoyance, she took her alarm clock and saw that the battery was gone. Her little brother has once again, decided to mess with her stuff. Leaving the alarm clock by the table, she got up and went to do her usual morning routine, which was shower, brush, change and then eat breakfast before leaving to her first class of the week.
She didn't bother wasting time in putting makeup or choosing a glamorous outfit, because she wanted to be comfortable rather than trying to impress someone - if there is a someone, in the first place.
Since the University that she's currently attending is nearby, she didn't move in a dorm, because she feels more safe in the presence of her family. And she didn't really have friends to hang out with after classes anyways.
She knows how sad her life sounds right now, but she doesn't mope all around, because there's more important things in life, than wasting it all being all down.
"Mom, where's mike? He took my batteries again." Hayley asked her mom, once she has descended the stairs, and surprisingly the whole family has already seated down around the table.
"What's going on? And mike! Why did you take my batteries, again!"
Mike, the young 10 year old, gave his toothy grin, before running up to her and giving her a hug, adn just like that, her anger vanished in an instance.
"Sorry. It's because you wake up too early, and I don't like it, because you leave before I even get up." Mike pouted, as he has his arms still wrapped around his older sister.
Hayley smiled warmly at his younger brother, "I"m sorry mike. But I had exams, but don't worry. I"ll make it up to you, okay buddy?"
"Pinky promise?" The young kid asked, bringing out his pinky finger.
Hayley smiled, taking in the cuteness if her brother, "Promise." Interlacing her pinky finger with her brother.
"Dear, come and have some breakfast, and Mike don't do that again to your sister, alright?" Their mom reprimanded, and added a smile, before placing plates on the table.
Usually they don't get to eat breakfast together, before it seems their father is back from his business meeting, hence the occasion of being able to eat together.
"So how's classes so far?" Mr Evans asked.
"It's alright dad." Hayley smiled back, but she was well aware of the worried looks her parents were giving each-other.
So before they can say anything else, she excused herself. Checking her now properly adjusted clock, she had one hour left before her first class starts.
Grabbing her black backpack and her phone, she rushed downstairs bidding her family goodbye. She decided to walk today since it was sunny outside, with a slight breeze to the wind.
Within a few minutes she has reached her destination, and the school library was her first place to go, since there were around 45minutes to spare before class starts and it was just near too.
Walking in the quiet, large library room, she was greeted by Mrs. Thompsan. She was a friendly lady in her early 30's, who was well familiar with Hayley.
"You're quite early, as always." Mrs. Thompson smiled.
Hayley smiled back, taking out a book, that she had borrowed a few days ago.
Once she was done, she walked to the far end of the library hall, it was secluded and no one ever goes there. There were four large comfy sofas, with a coffee table placed in between. Placing her bag on the sofa, she took out her ipod, plugging in some music, along with a new novel she has recently bought.
She was in depth with her book, and along with it the music was a fantastic background music, but it was disturbed when someone cleared their throat. She didn't hear it the first time, or maybe she did but she didn't bother. No one has approached her in the past, so why would it be any different now?
"Miss?"
This time she heard it. The voice of a male specimen. It was faint because her music was still playing in her ears, but she reluctantly pulled her earbuds off and glanced up at the figure standing just a few feet away from her.
The first thing she noticed though.. he was wearing all black.
She gave him an expectant look, waiting for him to talk. Yet all he did was stare at her with his brown eyes.
"I need your help!"
He suddenly exclaimed that it startled her, making her let go of the book she held as it fell on the floor. Her eyes widened as she brought a hand against her lips.
"You're too loud!" She shushed him and quickly around me to see if anyone was there. She hates noisy people when she's in the library, so she'd hate to be the person that she hates in libraries.
He gave a sheepish grin, as he scratched his neck. She sighed, before bending to get her book off the floor. She dusted invisible dust off her beloved book, and took out a bookmark to place it in between the pages where she has stopped and placed it on the table infront of her.
She took a deep breath before facing the all black clad boy, who is still standing still.
"Who are you?"
